Apr. 22, 2008 - Art work

I am pretty sure I found my daughter's art medium.  Pastels!

We bought Madie some pastels for christmas, and she has taken to them like a natural.  During the summer she I have noticed that she loves to use sidewalk chalk, and loves to blend and shade with them.    Just recently she picked up her pastels and drew some really good pictures with them.  I was so impressed!  Here is her best one so far, that she named "Little Farm on a Hill"

Today Madeline and I redesigned her blog so we can start putting narrations back up on a regular basis. I scanned more of her little drawings, and made graphics with them.  You can see her new remade blog here.  She was very excited to see her drawings turned into something like this!

I love Madeline's artwork and the wonderful way you incorporated it onto her blog. My oldest daughter recently had a chance to work with pastels at a friends house...I think this summer I'll be finally getting together an art collection that includes more than crayons and powder watercolors. Ha.
