He is risen indeed!
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." John 11:25
What an amazing gift we have in Christ Jesus!
I was so blessed at church this morning. First, my husband and I helped out in the nursery first service. We had three babies. I just love to hug on those babies! They are precious gifts!
I sing with the worship team during the second service, and God always fills up my heart during that time. Our pastor gave an interesting message this morning. He spoke as if he were one of the angels and told the story of Jesus. After his message, they silently played the scene from the movie The Passion of the Christ when Jesus was carrying the cross walking up to Calvary while someone sang the song "Via Dolorosa" which means "Way of the Cross." It was beautiful and heart-breaking at the same time. After she sang, two other women sang the song "My Redeemer Lives" which was just so uplifting!
I went out to eat with my husband, mom and her husband, and my grandma after church.
Once we got home, the kids all wanted to go out in our backyard and play baseball. Honest confession: I did not want to. Normally, my husband goes out back with them and plays, and I tend to stay in the house and enjoy the quietness that I don't normally get. However, today, the Lord wouldn't stop tugging at my heart. *I* wanted to go through and organize my scrapbook stuff while I had some time to myself. *I* wanted to just lie down and close my eyes and maybe even take a little nap. But, I knew that I would bless my children and husband by joining them outside. So, I changed into sweats and went outside and played with them for a while. It really was fun, and I'm glad I obeyed the Lord. There will always be a time to clean and sleep, right!?
So, now the kids have decided to come in the house for a bit. I went ahead and threw in a load of laundry to try to get a head start on tomorrow. I do need to sit down with my lesson plans and see what we will be doing this week. Maybe I will try to post our lesson plans & goals for this week here on my blog tonight.
Anyway, I do hope you had a wonderful and blessed Easter!
Blessings,
~LISA
