Well, I made some progress today.  In between getting caught up on laundry, I sat down and made a menu for this upcoming week.  I then made a grocery list for the things I needed.  I plan to go shopping this evening after we eat dinner. 

I had this fairly large basket-type crate-box thing that, over the summer, I had just kept throwing STUFF into.. you know... papers that I would "get to later."  I would find info on the internet about certain chore charts or training ideas or meals/recipes or scheduling our homeschool year, etc., and then I'd just put these articles and such in this one big box. 

Well, no wonder I was ignoring it - and the stack was getting higher and higher - it was OVERWHELMING.  I didn't know where to start!

So, with this next week's meals planned out, I tackled the stack of stuff in this box.

I found some file folders and labeled them by categories as I sorted through the papers:

• Meal ideas
• Exercise/Health
• Schedule/Routine
• Consequences/Training
• School
• Chores
• Field Trips/Places to Visit
• Work Records
• Need to file ~ which is my biggest folder!

This will help tremendously!!  Now, I can tackle one thing at a time and not be so overwhelmed.  The first thing I will work on is putting a schedule/routine in place for our days.  I will include time on there to go through these files.  I feel like such a big load has been lifted off my shoulders now that I've broken this huge task into bite-sized pieces!

If I have time tomorrow evening, I will stop back by here and post my menu for the week, in case you wanting/needing some ideas.
