Patience patience patience. God is definitely teaching me patience!
One of my children struggles in school. He is such a bright child, but he just learns differently than most. He is definitely my "out of the box" child. About three weeks ago, we switched back to Math-U-See. We were both happy that the school they are attending agreed to let us do this. In just these three short weeks, he is gaining some confidence back that he is smart and that he can do math. I love it! Today, I sat with him as he worked through his math pages, and it was so wonderful to see him understanding the concepts! Slowly, but surely!
There's no hurry! Every child crawls at a different age. Every child learns to walk at a different age. Every child learns to read at a different age. Every child is different and I am so grateful that as a homeschooling mom, I can help my child advance as he is able to.
What a wonderful blessing.
So, when you are having "one of those days" where it seems your child will never get it... take courage! He will! Keep at it. Take a deep breath and breathe in the patience from God and breathe out the frustration and worry... God is faithful! |
