Well, today is officially the first day of our Spring Break. The children all did a little bit of math and English work this morning, as well as piano practice.
Saturday, I spent the day scrapbooking with my mom while my children played together. My daughter sat with us and scrapbooked as well. So, I got one thing on my checklist done already. I'm hoping that my mom and I can scrap again on this coming Saturday.
Yesterday, I played with the children! My husband and I went to a nearby baseball field and had our own practice. I got to pretend that I was 20 years younger. Yes, I used to play softball competitively from the time I was ten all the way through high school. I had fun chasing ground balls and helping my boys hit the ball. The field we were at was not well kept, and unfortunately, my ten-year-old took a bad hop. He now has the imprint of the seam from the baseball on his right cheek and a fat lip to go along with it. Poor guy! He still wanted to play, though!
Today, I got about ten loads of laundry done. Well, eight done. I still have one in the washer and one in the dryer, so I can't count those done. I'll have to go work on that some more after I finish here. I also did my regular Monday chores, which include cleaning my bathroom and vacuuming.
I also finished going through my clothes today. I have FOUR large trash bags full of clothes to give to our local Salvation Army store. I can't believe how many clothes I had that I will *never* fit into again. I mean... size six?? That is not going to happen. I got rid of most of my size eights as well. I held onto a few of my favorites just in case I lose this weight once and for all. I also took my size tens and size 12s that don't fit right now and put them all into one large storage box. My closet now only has clothes in it that fit me... which isn't much at the moment. As I continue to lose weight (I've lost ten since January 2nd), then I will go through my box of clothes again. Whatever I don't fit into or wear at the end of this year, I will give those clothes away, too.
I didn't feel like it, but once my husband got home from work, I went to the gym and exercised.
My children are all playing UNO Attack together right now and I'm going to sit down and continue reading Managers of Their Chores. I'm on Chapter Ten. I'm anxious to get through this book and begin to put a Chore Plan in place.
Tomorrow, I'll be continuing with my mission of decluttering. I think I will work on my daughter's clothing. We also need to go to Costco and get some fruit and veggie trays for my daughter's birthday party on Wednesday.
