Homeschooling Lifestyle

Nov. 15, 2005 - Homeschooling and Spaghetti

I think I've managed to learn to navigate this site a little, but it's still a bit confusing to me. Oh, well. I'm sure eventually I'll get the hang of it!

My youngest, now 18, made a wonderful batch of spaghetti for dinner this evening. I feel homeschooling was very important to my children, as all of them were able to pursue their interests and had the energy and time to do so. For my oldest, it was learning to play guitar. All 3 of my children were in public school at one point in their lives, but my oldest came home so tired from school that he didn't have the energy to pursue many personal interests. I know homeschooling isn't right for everyone, but I know it was for us.

I love being able to see a young one's curiosity  blossom and grow and develop into a lifelong interest. I just hope none of my children become like their mother and have too many interests!!
My son's spaghetti turned out so wonderfully, and he just grabbed a little of this and a bit of that to put it together. He knows what he likes and what tastes good, and he instinctively
created a wonderful meal. I'm so glad he chose such an important interest, one that he can share with his whole family.
