I'm legal againYesterday we got our car inspected. :) Only a week late--that's not bad, right? The day started of beautifully, all blue skies and sunshine. I dropped off the car, and my friend, Kelly, was kind enough to pick me up at the dealership and bring me home. And so I was stuck at home. :) I cleaned out two bookshelves in my room. The used curriculum sale is coming up in June, and I plan on being prepared! The car wasn't ready until almost 5pm, so when Steve came home, we ran out to pick it up. Of course, by then, it was pouring buckets. It actually rained almost all day. The kids and I are definitely ready for some sunny, warm spring weather. -- Today was busy. I was out for a total of 5 hours..This morning, I went to the post office, brought Eli to the orthodontist, stopped at Sue's house to borrow her hedge trimmer, went to the grocery store, and then went home! After lunch, Maddie rode her new bike for a bit. I made the kids come in--it was so cold and windy! Plus, Eli's brakes are acting funny, so I didn't want him riding his bike. We'll get all of the bikes squared away soon and be able to start taking family rides again. Patience and I left the house around 1:30. We went to the library--I had a few late books, and a couple of books on hold. Then we went to Target, where I bought Brad Paisley's CD "Play", and got Maddie a new sweatshirt. Then it was off to piano lessons. After that, we ran to my friend Rose's house--she had some Mary Kay cleanser and moisturizer for me. And then finally home for good! -- It being Tuesday, Julie came over for dinner and Idol. I made Pineapple Chicken Lo Mein for dinner, and a Taffy Apple Pizza for dessert. Steve had school, but got home around 9pm. After Julie went home, we watched some tv, and I paid some bills. Oh yeah, we're hot. LOL -- Tomorrow is looking busy. Eli is getting his allergy shot, I need to make a bank deposit, and drop off a bill. And the list of things I have to do at home is getting longer by the minute. At least I have a list--keeping a running to do list is really helping me stay on track. Okay, one more check of the email, and I'm off to bed! G'night! 10:51 PM - Apr. 7, 2009 - post comment
