Potato cannon

Last Friday, we had a play group at my friend Amy's house.  The kids ran around, played capture the flag, had a picnic lunch, and got to see Amy's husband demonstrate the potato cannon he made.  VERY cool!

It was impossible to get a picture of the potato coming out--by the time you heard the boom, it was too late!  It was amazing how far the cannon hurled the potato--I'm horrible at guessing distances, but it was pretty far!

I'm always so grateful to Amy for opening up her home.  She has an awesome backyard, and the kids always have so much fun!

yep. Maddie's a woman. It happened. Officially, in this picture. Was this a homeschooling group? Do you think I could go to local homeschooling groups here even though my kids aren't homeschooled? Who needs to know? ;)
