Seventeen years ago today....

Steve and I went out on our first date.  He still claims that it was a "just as friends" date, but don't let him fool you.  He's just embarrassed to admit that he thought I was hot.  That's right--HOT.  And he is 8 years older than me, so he feels a little bit funny admitting it.   We got engaged exactly 6 months later, so he must have gotten over that. LOL

We went to see a performance by the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra.  It was lovely.  And I was so excited to be out with Steve.  I had had a crush on him for ages (I was only 18 at that point, and never thought Steve would ask me out, so that crush had not prevented me from dating other guys. LOL).

Seventeen years ago, my happily ever after began.   When next year rolls around, I'll have been with Steve for half of my life. I am so blessed!

You're so funny. Of course I remember the date! I mean, I was 18. And you have no idea how excited I was to go out with Steve. I'm still kind of in awe that I got to marry him and have his babies.
Okay, that's a little too mushy, even for me. But it's true. :)
