11 June 2008 - Taking a break from rowing.
I had heard about Five in a Row, but was not sure about it. After looking at it, I have started to put together a list of what we can do here. I think it may be do able here. Beginning of May we worked on "The Story of Ping". I got some picture books of the Yangsi River. In the middle of May we worked on "Harold and His Purple Crayon". The last week of May and the first week of June we worked on "Madeline", I got it from a school library that I can use my normal library card at. I will call and ask for "Grandfather's Journey" next week. I also found "Down, Down the Mountain" as the used english book store in Heidelberg.
So we are now taking a break from that for the EM. I have been cooking around the Union and it has been going pretty well. GKS can put together our wooden puzzle of Europe and because of "Madeline" she can identify France and Germany on the map. The kids are noticing all the flags so I am working on something for that. We went to go see one of the games this evening on the public large screen. The kids got board quick, but were not to bad. I have an idea of what to do if we go again.
