Just like states in the US, different states in Germany have different summer vacations.

Remember that here in Europe they put the day first and then the month.(Be careful if you get pulled over by the cops. I have heard of one person who the police thought their American drivers licenses had expired because of the date mix up.)
This one is really cool. It shows the dates by graph and then at the bottom the average temperatures.
Bayern (Baravia) where we are does not start it's summer vacation until the first of August. GTH will be getting off a week early so that he can to a summer camp to work on his German.
