Welcome to the Funny Farm

Dec. 30, 2006 - Random Thoughts

I don't have anything in particular I want to blog about but I do know that I want to be a better blogger. In order to become a better blogger, I must blog more. So here is my attempt at blogging more.

I just got done wrapping a ton of presents and ya know what? I HATE wrapping presents. It's a whole lot easier to just throw it in a gift bag and be done with it. (I know Christmas is over, but we give presents on New Years. It's a long story......if you're really that interested in knowing why we do such a thing, just email me.)

It's been raining all day and the kids were starting to climb the walls, so I sent them to bed early. I hope tomorrow is better.

I leave for Orlando on Friday to run the Disney marathon (that's running 26.2 miles non-stop in case you were wondering. Insaine. I know.). I am so excited! My cousin and I have been training for this race since this summer and now we get to see just how well our training has paid off. But one of my biggest fears may be comming true. I have been so worried about getting sick right before the race and then not doing well or not being able to even run. Well, I think I'm getting sick. I have a bad cough and my throat is on fire. I'm sure it's the same crud the kids had durring Christmas. I taking Zicam so hopefully I will be fine come race day.

I am doing a "Funny Farm Year-In-Review" and while I was looking back at all my posts from this year, I realized how little I mention my husband. I don't know why. I am married. I swear. I'm going to start including him more.

Blake and Brooks are becomming annoyingly obsessed with Yu-Gi-Oh. At first, I didn't mind that they played it all day. The game requires them read alot and to add and subtract large numbers so I figured it was educational. But now it's all they talk about, it's all they got for Christmas, and I'm tired of finding/picking up cards from all over the house.

Micah is totally obsessed with wearing a certain Batman costume we have in our dress-up box. All day. Every day. I was hoping that this would be just a phase he was going thru (he went thru a phase this summer where he wore a lion costume every day for a month) but it's safe to say that this is definately an obsession. He's been wearing it now for 4 months.

Well, that's all the random thoughts I can come up with (actually my butt is getting sore from sitting in this chair) so I'm gonna leave it at that.
