Jan. 16, 2006 - A Favorite of Mine
I hope this doesn't sound like a plug for this company but I am so excited about what I found that I want to share. As some of you know, my 9 year old son is severly dyslexic and has ADD. I have been struggling to find curriculum that works. I wanted something that would challenge him but yet boost his already low self esteem. I came across a dyslexia website and read about a spelling program called Sequential Spelling for Home School. I am so happy with this program that I am using it for all 3 that I am homeschooling. First, it is VERY easy to use and teach. Second, it can be used for all ages,if they are dyslexic or not and, no matter how well they already spell. Like I said, I am using it for my 9, 7 and 5 year old. They are all learning it at the same time. Some of the words they have mastered today are: beginning, spinner, inning,chinned,agree,disagree. It's so easy to understand that my 5 year old can spell these words with no trouble at all!. It's so amazing that I thought I would share something that I have found that actually works and that I am actually excited about teaching.
