Feb. 10, 2006 - Bummer
Well, our night didn't go as I had planned. 
We had gotten all ready for my father in laws suprise party. The house was clean, decorations were put up, a cake was made, 25 balloons were blown up (by yours truly) and the kids were in the process of making B-day cards for him, when my husband calls. It's 5:00, and my in-laws aren't coming. Now granted, the weather is suppost to turn nasty tonight (after midnight,I think) and it was cold and rainy. But I would have appreciated a call from them, maybe a little earlier in the day, before I got everything ready. Thank goodness I hadn't started a big huge dinner or I would have been VERY upset! My hubby just stopped and got us some pizza. (yeah for him!). I guess I am just a little disappointed that we went thru all that trouble of getting ready for them and then they didn't come. And the kids were so excited about suprising Papaw! I didn't have the heart to tell them so I waited until JM came home with the pizza. How can one be disappointed when there is pizza around? We ended up having a good time. We took pictures of the decorations and us eating the cake (yes, we ate his cake-I didn't want it to go to waste!) and then we sent Papaw the pictures. He asked for a "rain check". Which we will gladly give him, just without all the fanfare!
