Gwen, homeless no moreGwen finally arrived at our house to complete this year's Limited Edition girls. ![]() She's so sweet and innocent looking. Chrissa and Sonali are glad that their other friend is finally home. ![]() Mother's Day Gift!Look who I got for Mother's Day this year. A total surprise for me.
![]() Meet Sonali ![]() Meet Dante! So we rescued a new girl this week. She's a JLY #26. She arrived from Missouri yesterday. Meet our newest arrival, Dante!![]() RuthieNow we have all the historical dolls! Kit is so excited that her best friend, Ruthie, has joined our family. She came from a previous home in Ohio last week: ![]() She was still in her box and came with her meet outfit and her accessories too. I just think she looks lovely in Kit's school jumper. So now everyone's here. That is until American Girl releases Rebecca, the new historical from 1914, in late May. ![]() Happy Valentine's Day!Happy Valentine's Day from the AGRescue team!
![]() ![]() Logan and HallieWe welcome Logan and Hallie to our American Girl Hopscotch Hill School doll collection. They are welcomed by their classmates, Skylar and Gwen. Now we have all four HHS girls in our home. ![]() Logan and Hallie came from Arizona yesterday from a friend who found them on her local Craigslist. ![]() New girls!Today's my birthday and this year I decided not to go to the Atlanta American Girl store for a birthday trip like I did last year. I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't go, but I got some great surprises anyway! First, the reason I didn't go, was that AG has a coupon code out for $10 off of a Chrissa doll if you order on-line. Well, I was going to buy Chrissa in Atlanta today anyway, so I saved myself the trip and money on my new girl. And the good news was she arrived today! ![]() Here's Chrissa in her pajamas with her llama, Starburst.
They are both so cute and sweet! The second surprise was that my husband had already bought me Emily for my birthday and he gave her to me today as well! ![]() This is Emily in her SwimSuit. She's so cute and squishy. I love her.
Two dolls in one day! How very blessed I am to have such a loving family. ![]() American Guy DollsAfter hosting Traveling JD for a while, our girls here thought that they'd like to have some brothers too. So I found these two AG dolls (formerly #21 and Samantha) and customized them to look like my real sons around age 11. Meet Rosco and CharlieWe gave these to the boys at Christmas and they were very pleased to meet themselves in doll form. We also bought a few of the older GoT outfits that looked more boyish (they both are wearing genuine AG outfits in the picture above.) So now we have too many AG dolls to take a group photo. There are 32 (18") American Girl (and Guy) dolls, 3 Bitty Twins, 2 Hopscotch Hill School girls, 1 Girl of Many Lands (Isabel) and 21 mini (6 1/2") American Girl Dolls here at AGRescue. ![]() Elizabeth!Elizabeth joined our family today along with her accessories and her holiday gown. ![]() Merry Christmas to everyone! ![]() Bitty Twins!YAY! We finally have some boys in our American Girl collection! Yesterday my dh found a for-sale post on our local Craigslist for these precious Bitty Twin boys that were almost brand new and still in their box. ![]() They even still have the new doll smell. Poor little guys needed a new home, so now they are welcome home by their 29 (18") sisters and one Bitty Twin, Dusty. Meet Wayne and Garth, our newest members of AGRescue. ![]() Nellie arrives!Since Ivy arrived a couple months ago, we decided that the rest of the Historical best-friends would have to eventually come to live at American Girl Rescue. Arriving brand new from AG last week, meet Nellie. Welcome to Nellie!![]() RosafinaOur newest girl arrived yesterday from New York. She is a Josefina, but since we already have two Josefinas, we call her Rosafina. Meet RosaEdit 10/13/08: Since I thought Rosa was coming with much shorter hair (see her make-over photos here), I have always imagined her with shoulder length hair. So I trimmed it up a bit, steamed out the kinks and now she's perfect! My beautiful, modern Hispanic girl, Rosa!![]() Ivy LingI hadn't planned on getting all the Best Friend dolls for our Historical girls. However, I ran across a great deal on Ivy and brought her home. I made her this tie-dyed shirt because I really didn't like her meet top. ![]() ![]() DustyWe went to some of the yard sales at the 127 Sale over the weekend where we found and adopted our first Bitty Twin. She's a 2003 blonde, short-haired (retired) girl. Meet Dusty!![]() Maggie ScoutWe got a 2001 Kirsten from an AGPlaythings member. She was in pretty rough shape and you can read about that in this post. We got her this week from a neighboring town right here in Tennessee. Her former home called her Scout. We call her Maggie. So meet Maggie Scout! ![]() ![]() Baby PollyI'm not sure Polly counts as an AG doll since she's technically an accessory, but we're going to count her among our girls. Baby Polly is Felicity's little sister. She comes with a wonderfully made wooden cradle. She's made just like a Bitty Baby only smaller! She's only 9" long and wears a long satin gown and bonnet. ![]() We were given Baby Polly and her cradle as a thank you from a friend for whom we got to do a favor. She's a very sweet addition to our family. ![]() DanicaWe have all thought that this AGoT#25 looked quite a bit like Danica Patrick, so when we finally found one looking for a new home, we adopted her right away. Our Danica arrived from Dallas today. Welcome to the family, Danica!![]() HHS GwenOur Hopscotch Hill School, Skylar, was getting lonely being the only 16" jointed AG doll in the family. So we found her a classmate, Gwen. Welcome, Gwen!![]() Charis joins usWe have adopted a new girl into our family. Charis {KAR iss} is a 1995 AGoT #15 (medium skin, dark brown eyes, textured black hair.) American Girl has just recently retired this girl, so she is no longer available from AG. ![]() Welcome to our family, Charis! ![]() Lily FlowerCheck out the newest girl to join American Girl Rescue! ![]() Meet Lily! It's so hard to get a good picture of her. She really is so cute, but I took over 20 photos of her yesterday and none of them turned out looking like she really does. She has such a unique face mold that is hard to capture on film. ![]() { Last Page } { Page 1 of 2 } { Next Page } |
