My New Buddy: and a Tag

Posted in Home Life

I’ve been busy with a new addition to the family:

My first brand new vacuum. I guess my husband figures I am staying around for a while, and I do a lot of cleaning, so it wasn't too risky buying me a new vacuum.

Scott says I "deserve" a new vacuum.

Do you remember one of the mantras from LaLeche League..?

Breastfeeding Saves Enough Money

For One Major Appliance

per child

He got off so cheap with a deal on this, that I'm counting it as only half a new appliance. So far I am up 2 1/2, with 3 1/2 brand new major appliances to go...dishwasher, here we come!

I finally had time to think about that homeschooling tag that's been going around:

1) ONE HOMESCHOOLING BOOK YOU HAVE ENJOYED

books written by the Boyers

of The Learning Parent

2) ONE RESOURCE YOU WOULDN’T BE WITHOUT

KJV Bible

3) ONE RESOURCE YOU WISH YOU HAD NEVER BOUGHT

4) ONE RESOURCE YOU ENJOYED LAST YEAR

Math-U-See

5) ONE RESOURCE YOU WILL BE USING THIS YEAR

Vocabulary from Classical Roots

6) ONE RESOURCE YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY

History of Art for Young People

7) ONE RESOURCE YOU WISH EXISTED

A maid who returns phone calls

8) ONE HOMESCHOOLING CATALOG YOU ENJOY READING

Veritas Press

9) ONE HOMESCHOOLING WEBSITE YOU USE REGULARLY

Tapestry of Grace

10) TAG FIVE OTHER HOMESCHOOLERS

I'll leave this open for other friends to answer at will

Have a great day!

Dawn's Favorite Post

I love Vermont because of her hills and valleys, the scenery and invigorating climate. But most of all because of her indomitable people. They are a race of pioneers who almost beggared themselves for others.

If the spirit of liberty should vanish from the rest of the Union, and our institutions should languish, it all could be restored by the generous store held by the people in this brave little State of Vermont.
