So....I went to my room and folded an article of clothing and decided that that was boring, then I thought about taking some pictures but I did not know what to take pictures of, so I decided to play with my hair to try and figure out how to fix it for work and while I was doing that I thought about writing a blog entry to tell you guys how my interesting day at work went. So...............here we go. Oh, but first you should know that I have been sick for a week and even though I fully intend to proof-read this entry before I post it there still might be some mistakes (not that I never have any mistakes).
I went into work at eleven this morning and the M.O.D. (Manager On Duty) told me to get on cash register before I started working in the lobby (cleaning and stocking tables, washing trays, cleaning drink stations, etc.). After I did cash register for a half an hour the M.O.D. told me to go work at the coordinator station. So all that to say, the Lord blessed with not having to do lobby today even though I was scheduled to do lobby today. Another interesting thing that happened today was, as I was asking the M.O.D. if I could leave he asked me if he could borrow my name tag. I asked him to repeat what he said because I wasn't sure if I had heard the question right, being such an odd thing to ask. Sure enough, I had heard him right the first time. So I unpinned my name tag from my shirt and handed it over to him. He said that he would leave it in the office in an envelope for me. As I was clocking out my manager handed my name tag to one of the new girls. I knew that she had been wearing a name tag earlier in the day so I asked her what had happened to it. She told me that she had lost it in the trash can. I'm not exactly sure how that happened, but in any case, that is my interesting story for the day. Now we have yet to see what the Lord had in store for me tomorrow.
Ok so I was at skating today and my friend Anna told me that I need to post a new entry. She was SO right. Thanks Anna! :) Here are some pictures that I took during vacation.
Old chicken coop on my great grandmother's farm. Same building More pictures from my great grandmother's farm. These next two were taken at my aunt's house in Alabama. This one was taken in a garden somewhere in Alabama.
FINALLY a new post, there you go Anna and everyone else. I'm sorry it took so long to post. My computer has been acting weird.
Well, some of you already know about this, but...............(I'm not bragging)...................................I GOT A NEW CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was happy and blessed to get it before we go to Alabama next week. :) Here are some pictures that I have taken with it.
Like Big Sister, Like Little Sister Mother's Day Flowers Someone requested that I take goofy pictures of Gabriel. Awesomeical My curtains are aqua blue, that's why the lighting is so weird.
Well, I hope you enjoyed viewing them.
:D Well, I've been.........................................................ok, I'm not going to say it. ;) I have been preoccupied with school, work and church lately. Next week we are leaving for Alabama and will be there for about two weeks. I'm very excited about seeing friends and family that we haven't seen in nearly two years, but I'm not really looking forward to the squishy ride down there. I plan to bring: my camera, iPod, books and a pillow and hopefully I will be able to survive the FOURTEEN hour trip with just that. Of course the men will be sitting in the front most of the time and Gabriel will have to sit in the back when Mom drives and Dad sleeps in the passenger seat, so Holly and I will be "car mates". :) We'll have to be real chummy and not get mad every time the other one touches "their" side. But it will be okay. We might be traveling through the night part of the time so I might sleep. Anyway, I guess that's about it. I'll talk to you all later. Oh, and thank you all SO much for leaving me comments even though I have been such an unfaithful blogger.
God bless
Love (your "trying to be a more faithful blogger),
Hannah
Well, I don't have much time to write but I figured that since I still have thirty minutes until time to leave for church I would write a quick entry. There's not anything interesting to report. Mainly just work, school and church. On Saturday our church is having a Mother, Daughter Banquet, after we come home from that I am planing on making Lasagna for Sunday dinner and then off to work. I'm pretty sure that something more interesting has happened lately but it's just not coming to mind, so I'll post some pictures that I have taken recently and I edited them on Picnik. I'm sorry if I have already posted these.
My sweet apple shoes
My beautiful family on Easter Sunday
Well, it's about time to leave for church. I'll talk to you all later.
I had tears rolling down my cheeks as I read this. This story has got to be one of the most amazing, tear jerking, God controlled stories I have EVER heard. Please take just a few minutes to read it for yourselves. I know that it looks a little long, but it's really not. Thanks!
A man from Norfolk , VA called a local radio station to share this on Sept 11th, 2003, TWO YEARS AFTER THE TRAGEDIES OF 9/11/2001.
His name was Robert Matthews. These are his words:
A few weeks before Sept. 11th, my wife and I found out we were going to have our first child. She planned a trip out to California to visit her sister. On our way to the airport, we prayed that God would grant my wife a safe trip and be with her. Shortly after I said 'amen,' we both heard a loud pop and the car shook violently. We had blown out a tire. I replaced the tire as quickly as I could, but we still missed her flight. both very upset, we drove home..
I received a call from my father who was retired NYFD. He asked what my wife's flight number was, but I explained that we missed the flight.
My father informed me that her flight was the one that crashed into the southern tower. I was too shocked to speak. My father also had more news for me; he was going to help. 'This is not something I can't just sit by for; I have to do something.'
I was concerned for his safety, of course, but more because he had never given his life to Christ. After a brief debate, I knew his mind was made up. Before he got off of the phone, he said, 'take good care of my grandchild. Those were the last words I ever heard my father say; he died while helping in the rescue effort.
My joy that my prayer of safety for my wife had been answered quickly became anger. I was angry at God, at my father, and at myself. I had gone for nearly two years blaming God for taking my father away. My son would never know his grandfather, my father had never accepted Christ, and I never got to say good-bye.
Then something happened. About two months ago, I was sitting at home with my wife and my son, when there was a knock on the door. I looked at my wife, but I could tell she wasn't expecting anyone. I opened the door to a couple with a small child.
The man looked at me and asked if my father's name was Jake Matthews. I told him it was. He quickly grabbed my hand and said, 'I never got the chance to meet your father, but it is an honor to meet his son.'
He explained to me that his wife had worked in the World Trade Center and had been caught inside after the attack. She was pregnant and had been caught under debris. He then explained that my father had been the one to find his wife and free her. My eyes welled up with tears as I thought of my father giving his life for people like this. He then said, 'there is something else you need to know.'
His wife then told me that as my father worked to free her, she talked to him and led him to Christ. I began sobbing at the news.
Now I know that when I get to Heaven, my father will be standing beside Jesus to welcome me, and that this family would be able to thank him themselves .
When their baby boy was born, they named him Jacob Matthew, in honor of the man who gave his life so that a mother and baby could live.
This story should help us to realize this: God is always in control.
We may not see the reason behind things, and we may never know this side of heaven, but God is ALWAYS in control.
Please take time to share this amazing story. You may never know the impact it may have on someone.. God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures Forever. Psalm 136:1
May God bless you, and your family,
It's been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. We are part of that percentage...'In God We Trust!'
I am SO sorry for not posting for so long. I have been SO busy with school and work. Anyway, as far as work, I am having a great time. My brother, Gabriel, got a job there. It's very interesting working with him. I thought that I had a lot to write about but my mind is going blank. I don't know what else to write about. No wait, now I remember, this week is the last week of my dad's state police academy (phase one). :D We are all so excited. Friday is family day, we are supposed to be there at nine thirty in the morning until two thirty. My dad's brother and his brother's wife and kids are coming down for family day. They will be here Thursday night. We have another friend from New York, who we haven't seen in three years, will be there too. After family day, Gabriel and I are going to a youth activity. We are having a Wii tournament and pizza. There are supposed to be a lot of teens there. We'll be praying for a great turn out. I have been praying for a couple of girls in our church to get saved. :) Anyway, I'm kind of tired. I'll talk to you all later.
HAPPY EASTER
FROM HANNAH/ANAMERICANGIRL AND HER FAMILY!!!! :D
What a beautiful family. I LOVE you family, SO much!!! I like this one better. :D Have a wonderful Easter and a blessed week.
In Christ

Ok, so I'm not an expert at this yet, but at least you can tell what it is. Right? ;)
(I hope it comes out alright on your computer.)
I was thinking last night how every year at Thanksgiving we always say that we should be thankful all year round. So, I decided to make a list of all the things that I am thankful for, for Easter. :)So, here I go.
I am thankful for…………….
1.God, who sent his only begotten son to earth to die on the cross.
2.Jesus Christ, who humbly came to earth and died on the cross to save ME and everyone else from our sins.
3.The Bible
4.My amazing family who dearly loves me.
5.My wonderful friends, they/you are such great encouragers and make me laugh all the time.
6.My job, I try to look at it as an opportunity to lead people to Christ.
7.My church, I wouldn’t rather be at any other church in the whole world.
8.The apartment that we live in.
9.That my dad got a job transfer and now he will be able to live at home all week when he starts his new job. :)
10.The food on my plate and in the refrigerator/freezer.
11.My clothes
12.My shoes
13.Our washer and dryer
14.Our dish washer, oven, microwave
15.My computer and other electronics ;)
16.The sixteen years that I have been on this earth.
17.The seven years that my family spent in Romania as missionaries.
18.Oh, and I forgot a very important one…..my salvation.
19.Our family car and my brother’s car
20.Perfume, deodorant, tooth brushes, tooth paste, hair brushes and other personal hygiene items.
21.Indoor plumbing :D
22.Breakfast, lunch and dinner
I’m sure that I will think of something else later, but that’s all that I can think of at the moment.
It feels SO nice to be at home. I had a LOT of fun, but it was kind of crazy. The best part was when I got to hold the baby, which I got to do A LOT of. :) I didn't have a lot of time to take pictures, so I only have a couple of Mikey, the two year old. Well, I was planning on writing a longer entry but it is time to get ready for church. I'll talk to you all later. Thank you all SO much for your prayers and very encouraging comments.
I'm sorry I didn't write an entry before I left yesterday morning. Anyway, I'm at a family's house from our church. They had a baby girl two weeks ago today. I am helping out with the baby, their two year old boy and houseold things. Apparently there is a stomach bug going around, so please pray that the baby, and everyone else won't get it. Anyway, my day has been pretty eventful, and fun. I get to hold the baby alot, and play with the two year old. I also got to make brownies. (YUM!) Oh, and I also took a nice long nap, while everyone else took one too. Anyway, I'll be home tomorrow. Thank you all so much for your prayers, and encouraging comments. It is such a blessing. I guess I ought to go now. I'll talk to you all later.
Well, I had planned on starting this entry by talking about how my ACT went, but first I am going to inform you on something more important. My really good friend Erin and her family were traveling on the road in their SUV and pulling their trailer behind them. They were traveling at night when it was raining and their trailer flipped. Everyone is fine. It is a miracle from God that no one was hurt because it was dark out. For right now they are staying in a hotel in Arizona. I'm not sure what exactly is going on but for right now PLEASE PRAY for Erin and her family. Thank you SO much!
As far as my ACT test. Well........we got there just in time and got in line. I was happy that I got to be in the same room with Gabriel. When we were in line getting ready to enter the testing room, the proctor asked if anyone was left handed. There were three lefties (me being one of them). The first two left handers sat at two different desks facing the wall. The proctor put me at the VERY FRONT OF THE ROOM. No tables beside me, just behind me. It was nice to have a desk all to myself, but then again they still could have given me one in the very back. No, I'm not done complaining yet. My head didn't feel good, my back hurt, my legs started to cramp up from sitting too long in an uncomfortable chair and my stomach growled so loudly it sounded like a thunder storm outside. I was all afraid of being kicked out of the testing room for being a disturbance. But, over all, it went well, God as certainly with me.
I had a lot of fun after the ACT test. My parent's dropped us off at home to go out to eat because it is their 22nd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!!!!! They let Gabriel run out and pick up a pizza for us. (YUMMY) While the three of us kids (young adults for some of us) were watching a movie my dad called and told us to jump in the car and go to Gander Mountain (a sports shop). We got there and there was a LOT of shoes on sale for a really great price. There was also a family from our church there too. I got a pair of Sketchers for $15 and two more pairs of "I don't know what" shoes for $2.50 EACH. Good times! :) Gabriel and Holly went home and then Mom, Dad and I went to Sonic and bought drinks (my favorite fast food restaurant, sorry Arby's ;D) and then we drove all over the place to look at some houses. It was a GREAT drive. We have had such gorgeous whether for the past few days. Thank you Lord. Oh, and by the way, my dad got a job transfer. YAY!!! So now his work will only be about thirty minutes away instead of three hours away. Which also means that he will be home all week. He hasn't started the job yet, right now he is still in the academy. Well, I guess this entry is long enough for now. Thank you all SO much for all of your prayers and support. You all are so wonderful and a blessing from God.
Library Hangout (I don't no if that is one word or not) :)
Hey everyone,
Well, I'm just hanging out at the library. :) Gabriel's end of the year drama performance starts at 6:30. We dropped him off early so he can help set up and get ready. It would take too much time and gas to go all of the way home, so that's why we are at the library. The computer won't let me get on Facebook or Twitter, so I guess I'll just catch up on my blogging and coments, since I REALLY need to do that anyway. Since I am bored I will talk about my week. My week hasn't been boring, it's just not something that I would usually write about. So anyway, here I go. I don't remeber what we did on Monday or Tuesday, so I will start with Wednesday. Thankfully, no one played any April Fool's jokes on me. :) On Wednesday night we went to church and one of the boys in the youth group brought Rice Krispie Treats (sp?). Knowing the person who brought them, the Youth Pastor didn't want to eat any of them. He was sure that someone put laxitive in them. It was kind of like a reverse phsicology thing (I have no idea if I spelled that right, this computer doesn't have a spell checker). The Rice Krispie Treats were made by the boy's mom and they were VERY good. The Youth Pastor wouldn't eat any of them until someone told him that Mrs. Terry made them. :D This morning mom, Holly and I went skating. Gabirel usually goes but he wanted to get ready for his play tonight. There are usually at least fifty to sixty people at skating on Thursday mornings but today there were only about twenty people skating and that even includeded some of the parents. I hung out with my really good friend Anna, and since Gabriel wasn't there his friend Thomas (Anna's brother) just hung out with us most of the time, as well as their brother Phillip. Tomorrow, Gabriel works, I work, Holly has a book club meeting and there might be something else going on but I don't remember. On Saturday Gabriel and I are taking the ACT. In a way I am very nervous about it, but then again, I'm not nervous at all. Anyway, we will be leaving soon, so I'll talk to you all later.
God bless
Love,
Hannah
P.S. If there are a lot of mistakes in this entry, please forgive me. Like I said before, this computer does not have a spell checker. ;)
Boy, I'm all tuckered out. I know that I talk about work too much and I'm going to try to stop (after this entry, of course) :). I worked from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. I was on lobby duty today. Lobby duty is not that bad. I think I like it better than cash register. At first I was just standing around waiting for business to pick up, and boy did it ever. For the whole day I was either; wiping down tables, emptying trash cans or cleaning trays. I also neatened up the (girls) bathroom a couple of times and wiped down the drink stations. Someone told me that no one likes cleaning the trays. I don't dislike it, yet. Something really nice, is that when we are not too busy and we go to the back we can get a cone cup and fill it up with whatever drink from the drive through drink station and drink it in the back. It's REALLY nice. Anyway, I'm gonna now. No, particular reason, just that I don't have much else to say. ;) Thank you all so much for your prayers. You are such a wonderful blessing to me, and just in case my Daddy sees this entry "I LOVE AND MISS YOU DADDY "

March 26th 2009, Ms. Laturnue goes home to be with the Lord.
God certainly does work in strange ways. On Tuesday a very sweet lady in our church had a baby girl. On Thursday, another very sweet lady in our church passed away. There have been other people in our church who have lost family members lately. I think that it is such a blessing that a beautiful life entered our world, our church and our lives just two days before another beautiful life exited our world, our church and our lives. Ms. Laturnue will always be missed by everyone but we will see her again one day. I am very sad that I did not get to know her better, and I pray that through her testimony many lives will be reached for the Lord. Please pray for little Rachel's family as they adjust to having another wonderful blessing in their lives, and pray that Ms. Laturnue's family and friends will be comforted during this hard time and that they will be reached for the Lord. Thank you so much.
I sent many people a message about the RED ENVELOPE DAY just a few hours ago and I have already received quite a few replies that they are going to participate. Thank you all so much. My heart is dearly blessed. Even though abortion really has nothing to do with me personally, in a sense, it does. As a Christian it is my duty to stand up for what is right and Biblical in this corrupt world.
(Note: This part of my entry will be a little more comical than the other parts. :p)
A few years ago my little sister, Holly, ate a DOUGHNUT and swallowed her lose tooth. I don't know what is up with this girl. We were sitting in service tonight and all of a sudden, Holly asks if she can go to the bathroom. Meanwhile, I'm thinking, "Church just started and you need to go to the bathroom?". Then I figured out that she was messing with her tooth and then bit it, or something, and her tooth came out. IN THE MIDDLE OF SERVICE!!!! Boy, I don't know what on earth I would do without that girl. She always makes me laugh.
Well, I should get to bed now.
We have a busy day tomorrow. We have a lot of school to do, I'm working tomorrow evening and I would like to get my hair cut.
Here is what to do: Get a red envelope. You can buy them at Kinkos or at party supply stores. Or you can go to a greeting card store like Hallmark and ask them if they have any extra envelopes. They usually have a huge stash that they are willing to give away or sell cheaply. That's what we did! On the front, address it to:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington , DC 20500-0001
On the back, write the following message:
This envelope represents one child who died in an abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world. Responsibility begins with conception.
Put a stamp on it, drop it in the mail, and send it on March 31st. Make sure you put your return address on it or the post office will not deliver it to the White House. Then tell everyone you know about this website and encourage them to do the same. Time is running out. It is our hope that 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died before having a chance to live, will be sent to Obama. Maybe it will change the heart of the President.
Hey everyone,
My name is Hannah. I have been homeschooled for almost my entire life and I love it. On this blog I write about what is going on in my daily life and I also like to post pictures that I take. I figured that before you read my blog you should know a little bit about me so here I go, My first love is The Lord Jesus Christ I have yet to meet my second love (my future husband). I do not play the dating game for certain reasons, obviously I am very concerned about my purity, I am still very young and while I am I don't want things like dating and a boy friend in the way of my growing relationship with my Saviour. I love photography, singing, listening to music, going to church, my family and friends and most importantly The Lord God Almighty. I hope you enjoy my blog and I hope you come back.
God bless
Love,
Hannah/AnAmericanGirl
P.S. Check out the poem I wrote, it's right below this, enjoy.
