Hey everyone,
I saw an icon recently that says "True love is when you shed a tear, and still want him, it's when he ignores you, and you still love him, it's when he loves another girl and you smile and say you're happy for him when all you can do is cry." I must say that I strongly disagree with that saying and if that is what true love is then I don't want it. In my opinion that is just the fear of rejection. So, I decided to write a poem about what I think true love really is. I really hope you like it.
True Love
True love is when your peers say
“Who cares about what your future husband thinks”
And your response is “I care”
True love is when you and your husband
Are taking a walk in the park
And a supper model walks by you
And your husband looks at you
True love is when you are sitting in the hospital
And the doctor tells you that you have cancer
And you might not make it
And your husband turns to you and says
“I’m right by your side Babe through it all”
True love is when
You first make that decision to
Save your first kiss
For your husband

Thank you for sharing your poem. It was really good, and I think you are very right. Love is choice, not an emotion.
I also enjoyed your pictures in your last couple of entries. You are a great photographer! (I know I've said that before :-) ) What kind of camera do you use? I'm gonna be getting a new one soon, an SLR kinda like my dad's. I'm excited! Your pictures are always great so I was wondering which camera you have.
To answer your question - Mike is a guy I've been talking with, along with several other people, in an online discussion. It's basically a debate over Christianity. Mike is an atheist and all the rest of us in the discussion are Christians. It is REALLY difficult to know what to say to him because he has decided he doesn't want to believe no matter what anybody says. Soo... that's Mike.
I hope you have a great weekend and I'll talk to ya soon!
Love, Ashley
