Hey everyone,
This morning in family devotions dad read to us “When God Writes Your Love Story” by Eric and Leslie Ludy. It is really good. Today’s chapter was about family and how family has a very big effect on our lives, and how we treat family members differently then how we treat our friends, a lot of times we treat our family worse than how we treat our friends. Here is an example, your little sister goes into your room without permission and breaks your favorite hair clip and when you find out you get really mad and yell at her, one day you are at church and your friend breaks your other favorite hair clip and when you find out your response is “AW, that’s ok don’t worry about, I don’t really care”. I was thinking about how I do that a lot, and I want to change that. I want to treat my family better than my friends. I don’t treat my parents worse than friends but I’m really bad with my little sister. So, I’m going to pray about that and I hope you will pray for me too. Anyway, on other accounts yesterday my dad took me driving for the first time in an empty parking lot behind the theater. It was a LOT of fun and dad said that I did good, but it will be a little while longer before I drive on the street, but I am very excited. Yesterday evening I babysat two little kids from church for a while, while we were coloring Micah asked the cutest question ever, it went like this, “Who takes care of you when you are all by yourself?” Hannah answers, “Nobody, I’m old enough to stay home by myself.” “Then why do you have a mom?” I thought that was the cutest question and my response to that was “To make my food and wash my clothes and give me hugs.”. Of course there are many more reasons but he had to go to bed and I didn’t think he was interested in listening to the whole list. Well, I’d better go do more school work. I’ll talk to you all later.
God bless
Love,
Hannah |
