Reading Roots. I started this 688-page book back July. I was slowly getting through it. But I speeded up my reading when I watch my daughter read five 500 plus pages of books written by Stephanie Meyer in just 2 weeks.

So anyways this is a very good history book to read about Black History. I felt the preseverance and triumphing of the family moving forward in a positive way to survive. The end of the book skipped a couple of generations, and so it was hard to feel what it was like between those skipped generations.
Remember many blogs back I mentioned I had started reading this book to see if I would read it to N. I think I will wait for N to be much older to read this massive book. It will be a reading assignment years down the road. |
