Dropping in During school

Peeking in during school...
It's a miracle, we are actually doing school... I have had so many surgeries, illnesses and deaths in the family, school has been haphazard lately. Anyway... I was working on sequential numbers with my youngest daughter (six weeks shy of being 5 years old) and she was stalling - I just don't think she wanted to give me the satisfaction of just her saying the number 7. sigh. Anyway, I was thinking fast of how I could get her over that bump... I quickly asked my dh if we had any candy. We didn't, but we had chocolate chips. So, I counted out 7 chocolate chips and left the bag on the table. I got her out of her stall with 7 chocolate chips. She finished her work. I turn, there's my son (age 10) doing his Math with the chocolate chips, counting out his Math equivalent - 36 chocolate chips. And he says... "I love homeschooling!" |
