Travel Box

Posted in Family life

Well I completed a lot of tasks today. On Thursday I will be ready to pack. Tomorrow we will enjoy our 4th of July.

Today I also decided to make a Travel box.
Here is what it look like right now. It is rather plain. I am hoping to add things along the way. Stickers or whatever we find.

I filled out box with goodies to keep the kids busy. Something I made somethings I bought. Somethings we had for awhile. Lets take a look.
First I went to www.momsminivan.com and found these great car bingo printables. Last year we used them as well so this year I got smart and laminated them. I also bought dry erase so we can play again and again. I was thinking that they could turn it over and draw on the back as well.

I made a felt Tic Tac toe envelope. I stapled the felt onto the envelope. Instead of X and os I wanted a simple cut so I made hearts in different colors.

As I was making it Brody wanted to take the hearts off so if I have sometime I may make one with some animals for him to play with.

Next I added something I have had for a long time. I created a paper Weather bear. I dont have a pattern for you because I just drew him. Brett likes to play with him so added it to the box.

I also added this fish game. This is one that come from activities in a bag book. A bunch of homeschool moms in my area did a swap with these activities so I have them all. I decided the fish game might be fun since we are headed to the beach.

From the same book we have some beading. Which should keep young hands busy. Although I wanted to add some more pipe cleaners then for creating .

Lastly are a few things I bought.

Multiplication practice for Sara, Games for all, silly putty for the older kids and bubbles for a fussy emergency for Brody. I also want to add a few board books.

I still have some room in my box if you have any other ideas.  Oh and I forgot one I dont have pictured. I printed out a licenseplate game.
