Tot School
Good morning and welcome again to our Tot school.
This week was as busy and full as everyweek.
Daily Spirit and I work on his flip chart. This is a
chart that I found a the Bonton a few years ago
in a sale bin for only a few dollars. The chart flips over
itself and has all kids of neat charts on it. The Abc,
Numbers, body, farm animals, dinosaurs, sea animals,
transportation, shapes,colors and I know there are several
more. Since Spirit seems to have some speech delays
we have been working daily with the chart to help him
to boast his vocabulary. I really that with that and songs
he has really been progressing. On Sunday someone
mentioned how much clearer his speech was
becoming.
I used the Abc Chart to more review the pictures
but I will say A is for Airplane and he repeats airplane.
The other week at moms he saw the letter A and Said
A. I wasnt trying for that yet but whos complaining. :)
Here we were working on different farm animals
and the sounds they make. I say the animal and have
him point to it. Then we say the sound that animal
makes together.
We have all been looking for signs of spring and
I really think that now it has sprung. I helped
Spirit create this spring blossom tree.
By creating this blossom tree Spirit had a little
practice with his fine motor skills. I precut
tissue squares but he had to scrunch them up
and paste them on.
Last but not least on Saturday Daddy took
Spirit Fishing with the other kids. Daddy would throw
out his line and Spirit would wind in the fish.
The were lucky to catch a fish about every 15 minutes
which kept his interest for about an hour. The
kids also came back with a new school project.
If you can't tell whats in there they are tadpoles. The
kids actually found them in a water puddle near the
pond. Daddy scooped them up and brought them home.
As Hard as I tried I could not get a clear photo of them.
I think it might be the plastice container its in . Yet
I can see it clearly. Oh well you get the idea.

Let me know how it works out with the tadpoles. Ours all died after only a couple of days. Not sure why. Could be the entire can of tadpole food we bought was dumped in the jar by ds(3), or it could have been too cold outside overnight (we left them on our back patio), or it could have been that we had them in jars without the water being filtered or aerated. I just don't know and am not brave enough to try it again real soon.
