Simple Woman's Daybook
I have so many things I need to do this day
and even tomorrow. Yet the headaches I have
had for 4 days now sort of keep me down.
I know right away I have to take Advil or they
become full fledged mirgraines. At least advil
works for me. I know some who stuggle even
more with them.
I was thinking about Youth group last night.
addictions. This was a man I have known all
of my life but didn't realize till later in my life of his
struggle with achoholism. He used to sing songs to
us in church services when I was a child. I remember
it well. During that time he was struggling with
his addiction. It really makes you think about
what others are struggling with daily that no one
knows about. He was a very good speaker
and I know that it had to be hard to talk about all
of that to peers of his own church.

Simple Womens Daybook
is gray . The smell of the leaves is thick in
The air and my back is only slightly sore.
I am thinking...
I was actually just thinking about my weekend. Friday
I set up our youth room for the children to wrap
white elephant gifts for our Christmas Bazaar next week.
We filled 3 tables full of goodies to sell. My back was so
sore after but we managed to get it all wrapped.
Since I was not getting around much last week I
ended up having to do all of my errands on Saturday.
Which by the end of my errands I had to lay down for
quit sometime to get the dull ache to leave my back.
Sunday we had our regular services to handle. I"ll
have to tell all of you in detail one day all that entails.
Then we went to my moms for a little birthday cake
for me. Ohh I guess I forgot to mention my
Birthday was last week when I was laying in bed
sore. What a great way to begin a new birth year. :)
Then from there home for about an hour and off
To youth group. Which I spend the entire time
sitting in a wingbacked chair laughing at those
kids. They can be so much fun!

We didnt get to do much last week in
all of our lessons so much of what I had

Being nominated for the HSBlog awards as
the Best Cyber Buddy. I had to almost laugh that
I got nominated. I am not a very chatty
person on others blogs. I only have a few close
friends that I will chat with. Most of them I know
I blog for me. :) Anyway thanks for nominating me.

Monday- Leftovers. Over the weekend
we made marinated steak and later sausage.
Since we were so busy hardly any of us ate much
so we have lots of things leftover to eat..
Tuesday- meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and peas
Wed. - Pork Chops and potpie bows
Thursday- leftovers
Friday- baked chicken, scalloped potatoes
and green beans in cheese sauce.
Weekend- eating at church bazaar
and leftovers..

The minds of boys. The book minds of
Is a book set more to getting your children
to learn better in a public school environment
but also has suggestions for teachers
that have been very helpful to me as a mom. :)
I am hoping...
To get some major house cleaning done today.
We are taking the day off to get the house in order
For Thanksgiving. Then that week we will take
off again and spruce up but the deep
cleaning will begin today. If I can handle it
and if the dog stops going out . He has been out
5 times in the last 2 hours. lol
I am creating...
Not quit creating yet but have a few

A cartoon on TV.

Going through Spirits toys.
Throwing away any broken toys and
storing away some of them to make
room for a tree later this month.
We are dusting , vacuuming, laundry
, washing the floors (if I can) and

Simple Womans Daybook November
is gray .
I am thinking...
How quicky life can change. Yesterday
I pulled muscle in my back. (see last post)
It was odd how fast It happened. I was
just moments ago moving about the house
getting the kids ready for services. It was odd to
be home and think I had been like that
just a bit ago and now can hardly move.

I am thankful for...
My family support system. I have so many
friends that care about me and will help me when
I need it. Friends from church took Heart last
night for me over night so that she could shadow
her today for a school project , since I couldn't drive.
Another friend is picking up supplies that I need
for youth on Friday so I can rest this week. Others
took over nursery on Sunday and made
arrangements for class time. Mom was coming
by to pick up a bill for me that needs paid. Thank
you to everyone for your help.

I am thinking...
How much I like Mondays. I know that most
people look forward to the weekend. I look
forward to our daily routine. I do like doing
all those fun things on the weekends but it
can sometimes be more tiring then actual
day to day life.

from that room already this year.

to get to going through Spirits toys.
He has soo many that they are all over
the place. Time to purge that area again.

heaters cleaned and turn that heat on today. Brrr.
It is always such a big production washing down
the registers and making sure nothing is touching
them. Today I wont mind because I am in
need of some heat. :)

About how Cold it is.. Sorry I can't get
past it. I am also thinking about all
the great products I am working on reviewing
for the TOS crew. It is almost overwhelming at

The sun seems to come in and out. Yet I think it
may rain or maybe it will clear up. :)
I am thinking...
About All the great books I recieved from freecycle
this week. What a great deal I found. It is
funny how you meet homeschoolers sometimes.
The freecycler had books on teaching, christain
books, childrens books and youth group books.
I love all those topics and was able to pick them
up. I surely have a lot of good reads now.

can get most of that done on Thursday to free
My day for family on Saturday.

Outside my Window...
the cooler weather and the anticipation of
fall .
I am thinking...
About all the fun that fall brings.
Apple picking, pumpkin picking, hay rides,
crisp weather, apple pies, parades, jack o lanterns,
Halloween, candy apples, scarecrows and on and
on. I absolutely love this time of year.
From the learning rooms...
Princess:
This week we are playing some fun
apple vocabulary games.
Learning about capitalizing in Grammer.
Finishing up a unit on Native Americans
and in Science finishing up our water shed
Unit.
Superboy-
We finished his math book from
last year and are working on hundreds place
value. I created a really fun game I'll have
to show later.
We are also doing some apple vocabulary
and fun art projects this week.
Spirit-
Is working on an apple unit.

Suave its the professional kind. I like
the way it smells and it loosely holds my hair.

Outside my Window...
My daybook. I havent been feeling well. I seem to
be getting a cold and last evening Heart had
a back to school night at the high school.
I am thinking...
About back to school night. I felt so bad for the
one teacher there. He teachers a career skills class.
It seems many parents didnt think that Career skills
were very important and took the time to tell this
enthusiastic teacher how unimportant his job was.
There also was a parent complaining to the Chemistry
teacher about not giving them to much homework.
Since she said she gives them a short daily assignment.
This parent thought they didnt need any extra work.
I really was surprised by some parents responses
and behaviour. I dont know why that shocks me at
times yet it still does.

Learning about capitalizing in Grammer.
Still learning about the native Americans
and in Science finishing up our water shed
Unit.
Superboy-
Finishing his math book from last year.

Oh since I dont feel well I certainly dont
have the energy to complete all of my chores

man from the electric co is coming next week
to test some of our outlets and bring us energy
saving light bulbs out.

Simple Womens Daybook
Outside my Window...
sunny and warm, but inside I am having
a frustrating day with one of my children. This
child is having a hard time today just being nice
to anyone. Days like this make me want to lay
down and take a nap or go for a walk alone. Of course
that isn't possible so I gave them lunch and am
blogging instead. :) I tried taking a breather
Earlier but then the neighbor came over and wanted
something.
I am thinking... That I need some down quiet time
for myself sometime today. I can't seem to get enough
today with short intervals. I think I am a bit tired too.
I have been sporting a few headaches . That alone
wears me down.

Outside my Window...
September. Now that we have begun school
I am awaiting the first signs of fall. I so enjoy
this time of year.
I am thinking... About a story I just read
in my childs reader. Called The fire on the Mountian.
The Ethoipian man makes a deal with the sultan.
That if he can stand outside all night on the cold
mountian without clothes, food , blanket or fire he
would have land. So the man asks for advice from
a wise man. The man tells him to watch his fire all
night over the hill and think of the warmth. The man
stays out all night and survives the cold. Yet the
sultan does not give him his land because he said
no fire. Even though the fire was close by. Saddened
by this event the man goes to a friend who throws
a dinner party for the sultan. He does not feed the
guest at first only lets them smell the food. The
Sultan realizes his mistake in that the man could
not feel the fire just as he could not taste the food.
Good story and a good lesson will come of this one.
I am thinking how to add that to Christ. Maybe
if we can see God and yet now apply it then his
word is useless to us. Any ideas??

Simple Womens Daybook
I looks like it just might rain.
I am thinking...
About how are first day of School is going to
go today. I am excited about getting back into a
schedule and yet sad at the same time. Sad
because it means summer is about through and my
kids are a year old. I am a year older . Time sure
does fly by.
I am thankful for.... The calm day we are
having so far. I am thankful for how polite the
kids are being today. Even though they were
complaining yesterday that school is starting they were
asking for more to do. I think they were just saying
what the public school kids were saying. :) I am also
thankful for the tuna sandwich Superboy made me for
lunch. I am so proud of my kids.
From the Learning Rooms- Today for our first
day back into things we are taking things a little
easy. We started with family time. Bible reading, devotion,
and state capital memory. Then Spirit played
with M&M counting, magnets and did a color page.
Princess worked on her spelling and reading and did
a few math pages. Superboys assignment was to
find a car and write why it was his favorite and
then create a car and tell what is different about it.
We went outside and rode our scooters. Now we are
having lunch as they watch Brother bear 2.
Its on satellite and the kids never saw it and I
promised they could today. :)
This afternoon we are doing a watershed science
experiment and Superboy will finish his math. We
are also baking a cake. Much fun and learning going on.

I am thinking.....
I need to get off the computer and get some
chores finished. We had a busy weekend. I always
wonder how the house gets so dirty when we aren't
even in it all the time. I guess it's that drop and go, then
come home and drop and go again.
I am thankful for....
A great weekend with the youth. The kids I think
Had a fun time and were able to learn some new
things about Christ.

Simple Womens Daybook
Outside my Window
It looks like we may get some rain.
I am thinking... About lesson plans. I want to start
school in two weeks but I still have some more planning
to do. Your probably tired of hearing me say that.
I also am thinking about how fast summer has gone
by. I feel like we are just now starting to enjoy ourselves.
Hanging by the lake and enjoying nature. I had my nose
so close the the grindstone that I had a hard time going
away and enjoying myself.
I am thankful for.... I am thankful that the boxes
I needed to ship are on their way and I dont have to
worry anymore about boxes and the UPS Store. Interestingly
enough at the UPS store this morning there was a young
man there shipping his cross bow. He started up a
converstation with me telling me he was going hunting
in Flordia...GATOR hunting. It was an interesting converstation
since we arent near a single gator.
From the kitchen... Today we are making garlic
and shrimp pasta, crab cakes and marinated steak.
All things I found on sale and saved for. Yum...

Fall is my favorite time of year.

Wish I could tell you the chores are all finished.
The kids actually did better today than I did. I was
so tired from being out over the weekend that I layed
down with Spirit at nap time and took a nap with him.
Incidentally he is doing great without the bottle. One
week today. He doesnt really ask for it anymore and
today was the first he actually took a nap. He didnt
even ask for a drink like he has been.

morning and all is fairly quiet around town
today. The kids are just stirring awake.

Simple womens day book
For Today...
Outside my Window... It is cloudy and cool.
There is some kind of construction work outside
so every now and then you hear metal hitting metal.
Not sure what they are doing .
I am thinking...
About the new bloggy carnival starting today.
I can hardly wait to get started. I love freebies.
I am thankful for... Heart coming home
from camp safely. I think she had a really great
time. I am also thankful for a clean house
and little ones to hug. This morning Spirit
came in to my bedroom and chattered
away as we snuggled under the blanket. It
was a nice slow start to the day and relaxing.
With the cooler weather its hard to get out of
bed in the morning. You fall asleep hot and wake
up cold with the windows open.

Simple Womens Daybook
For Today...
Outside my Window...It is warm and sunny. A beautiful day.
I met a young man out front this morning as I left the
dog out. He parked in our driveway to get off the street as
he puts a fresh paint on the fire hydrant that sits outside our
house. He proved to be much entertainment to Spirit.
I am thinking... I was just reading some of my book
by Joyce Meyer, The secret to true happiness. I am on
Chapter 16 . Keeping it simple. My thoughts right now is..
How I can keep my life more simple? I can be a harried at
home, homeschool mom. Who runs around and feels
overwhelmed at times. I have so many little projects going
on and I have not completed any. These are all things
I want to do . How could it be less stressful to me.
Maybe if I tackle one task at a time and stop hopping from
one to another. I feel like I am not being productive
randomly moving from one task to another before the other
is complete. I also need to choose things that God wants
me to do. To pray and listen. To not over extend myself
and then not glorify God because I am to overwhelmed
to complete tasks. Wow I guess I am thinking a lot.
I am thankful for... My children, I am thankful my
step-son has decided to move out. I think it is time and
we will all have a better relationship this way.

I am creating... Again this is where I need to
simplify. I am still working on my school notebook.
Which it is almost finished but I need more printer
ink to complete it. I am creating some file games for
the kids . This way when a child is finished with work they
can get out one of these games and play by themselves till
I get to them. All the while practicing some of their skills.
I also really really want to create some art of my own.
I bought a new pen and ink set and its still in the package.
I'd like to incoorporate watercolors and ink together.
I Love this style or I even have been thinking of
doing something with ink and tissue paper. I just
Need to get to the art supply store for the right
kind of paper for this project.
I am going... to be rearranging a bedroom this week.
Since my step son moved out we get our bedroom back.
We were using the living space so he could have his own
space. Now that he moved out last night. I get to
rearrange our house a bit. One of the dressers he has is
going toSuperboys room. Which releaves some dresser
space. Actually a lot of dresser space. Superboy will
have more space with one of the new dressers in his room.
Then I have a cabinet in the school room I was housing
our clothing and now it can go up in the bedroom.
So that whole entire space can have school things
in again like it was intended. Then also Carl
has clothing in a cabinet in the bathroom. Now that
cabinet will be open space too. Plus the bedroom
Has a place to hang clothing. Woo Hoo. How I missed that.
I am not sorry Toad lived here. It was a great time
to really get to know him but I am glad he is ready to
move on now and we will have more space for ourselves.
I am sure he will visit us and still be a part of his life.
I am wearing...Gray shorts and a aqua shirt.
I am reading...Secret to true happiness. I
really encouage you reading this book. It is really good so far.
A few people have notice what I am reading and laughed at me
but its not as corny as it might sound. Its more about what
God wants for you in your life and how people as a
whole sometimes ignore his wants and stive for your own wants.
I am hoping... To get all my chores done tonight.
Move the furniture and later this week, take the kids
to the movies or the pool.
I am hearing... The fan and the dog scratching his dish.
I think he needs some more water.
Around the house... Oops I think I described just
about everything going on around the house. Except maybe
the laundry I am sifting through. Princess has dish duty
today and Superboy has his room to clean. I have
the kitchen floor to do. I dont believe it is my regular
tuesday chore but it is so messy from kids going in and
out and sometimes wet from playing in the water that is
needs done again. Deperately.
One of my favorite things...Nanny 911. I love that show. The
Other night there was a family that gave their children a ton
of milk all the time. Nanny said the children should have
18 oz of milk per day. No more than that. That they were
drinking their meals and not eating enough solids. She said
that having to much milk can cause an iron deficency. It was
an ohhh moment. I am anemic. When I was a child I
drank milk all the time. My brother would get water
and I always Got milk. I dont know if that is definately
the cause but it would make sense.

Simple Womens Daybook
For Today...
Outside my Window... The sun is shining, it is comfortably
warm. Every once in awhile I hear a car or truck roll by.
I am thinking... I am thinking about the chores in the kitchen
that need done but am also thinking it might be a great day
for a walk on the rail trail that is near our home.
I am thankful for... Youth group last evening.

I found at the yard sale. Called the Diabetics
Bible and still the Secret to true happiness
by Joyce Meyers. The BIBLE always.
I am hoping... to create some forms
this afternoon to organize my school supplies
what I need to purchase and what items we already
own.
I am hearing... Silence and the fan. The children
are upstairs playing Barbies and I barely hear a peep.
Around the house... Regular home managment chores
and wash the base boards again. They get so dusty living
near a busy road.
One of my favorite things...
This week.. Meditation, quiet, and prayer.
I am in need of some good worship. I am hoping
to stop a at friend chuch on Saturday evening. I just
dont seem to be getting what I need lately. Nor is my
girl Heart. I can see the restless in her and know that
when she hears our friends speak she'll feel better. I
cant wait to surprise her with this visit.

Outside My Window...
It is warm and sunny. A beautiful day.
The neighbor is our gardening this morning. A
little pruning of his bushes.
This is Vacation bible School week. So I am thinking
of the things I have to do yet to plan and make it
a fun and save evening for 19 preschoolers.
All the great school deals I found today. I got
markers at taget for 98 cents and went to the staples
1 cent sale. Really good school deals.
Tuesday-meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn
Wednesday- hamburgers and fries
Thursday-left overs
Friday- Bar b que ribs, peas and garlic potatoes
Saturday-Pizza and cake
Burgandy tank and black shorts
I am actually preparing for VBS. So I am not actually creating
something but preparing for other to create. lol
To prepare, clean up, feed the family, and head to VBS.

Christ and do so in a safe and fun way.
