Aug. 25, 2006 - Computer at last!
I'm back to cyber normal finally! We have our computer set up in the living room, complete with our lovely new flat screen monitor. Now I'll be able to keep up with my blogging and checking in on everyone else's (M&M- quit your griping!

Not much got accomplished today other than shopping for groceries at Walmart with all 5 little ones, taking Katie out shopping for her late birthday presents (which I'm sure she'll be blogging all about ) and watching as the computers got all set up while I made dinner. We didn't get much homeschooling done at all, so we'll have to put in some double time tomorrow to make up for it. With Ralph's schedule being Tuesday thru Saturday, ours feels a little mixed up, but since we went to the beach on Monday we definitely have to school tomorrow to get our week finished out.
We got a wonderful book at the library by Lois Lensky called Texas Tomboy which we are doing as our read aloud. It's so cool looking at the pictures and reading about ranching after driving past so many ranches on our way here and seeing those Texas critters like jack rabbits and having citrus trees and cactus growing right here on campus. I'd say other than the extreme heat (always between 101 and 105 during the day) we're happily adjusting to our new life here!
