Week Thirteen William Carey is called the “father of modern missions.” He was a Baptist minister in England and he formed one of the first mission organizations not associated with the “High Church” or state colonization. The organization he founded was called the Particular Baptist Society for Propagating the Gospel amongst the Heathen. |
