Similarities between Massive Ancient Structures

The Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico

The Great Pyramid in Giza, Egypt

The Ziggurat of Ur, near Susa, Iran

There are various similarities between these marvelous structures. One noticeable similarity is the shape in which they are built in. At the base, they are all built in a square shape, and then slope into somewhat of a pyramid. (Hence the name, pyramid.) Another thing to note about in which the way they are built is that they either have steps you can walk on (Like the Ziggurat and the Pyramid of the Sun) or the exterior stones are sloped, so you are able to walk on them. (Example, the Great Pyramid of Giza.)

Another similarity about these structures is they are rather massive. It seems impossible that these structures were built in ancient times when you note their massive size. The craftwork seems simply impossible for these structures.

Yet another similarity is the space inside the structures. There are various tunnels inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Ziggurat of Ur and the Pyramid of the Sun. More archaeology work needs to be done to know exactly how similar these tunnels and furrows are inside the massive structures, but they do seem to have chambers inside of them.

A similarity I can point out is that these structures have survived the test of time, even through wars, various weather related disasters and other uses of sabotage by man. That is the most astonishing similarity about these amazing structures, that they are still standing throughout the millenniums and the sands of time.
