And the Saga Continues...

Mar. 30, 2008 - My weekend...and a few pictures.

This weekend my family and I ventured out to a Venturing Crew camp out at a local BSA campground.  Friday night we pretty much just set up camp and met the other crews, but our Saturday was really when the fun started.  We spent almost the whole day at the shooting range.  I shot two pistols (a revolver and an automatic) about 10 times and also a black powder rifle (about half as many).  It was SO MUCH FUN.  I would have loved to shoot more, but there were a ton of people waiting in line for their turn.  I kept a few of the automatic's shell casings.  xD  I think I must be a weird, sentimental person.  LOL.

Here are a few pictures...enjoy!

This is my crazy brother...enjoying his first cookie before bed.

And this is my brother after a few too many cookies...I think he overdosed on sugar.  =D

Here's my sister, looking cute in her pj's...she, also, had quite a few cookies, but looks a little calmer than Josh.  lol

Me, Hannah, and Dad at our camp site...I look half dead.  =O

My siblings, hanging out Saturday morning.  The bright blue tent in the background is mine (I shared it with Hannah) - the other one is my friend's.

My dad, enjoying the outdoors.  (It's only been like, 8 years since our last camping excursion...)  And by the way, I told him to suck it in...lol  =D

Mr. H. (my crew leader) and a friend's dad, posing for the picture.  =D

Ashley, Richard, Tracy, Ben, Rachel, and me - the few of our crew that made the camp out.  (Tracy is actually from another crew, but she hangs out with us sometimes).  We took about a dozen group pictures, but this one is the ONLY one that looked decent.  =O  This was right before I left (we left early because we thought Joshua had gotten into some poison ivy...he's okay though).

All in all, I had a blast.  Can ya tell?  =)  Can't wait until our next trip - to Oklahoma.  It's a two-day-three-night shakedown in preparation for the Rockies  - 15 mile hike.  Our potential Rocky Mountain trip (July) is over 50 miles, but we have a whole week to finish it.  We're gonna hike Long's Peak!

Well, I gotta run - I'm watching Cars with my brother and sister.  Don't you dare laugh now...  ;D

I already read it. :P You weren't the only one, though.

Yes, that was me in the pic. Paul convinced me some time ago to take a picture looking emo. Then he took it and Photoshopped it for the joke. :P

Apr. 3, 2008 - I would never laugh...

I love that movie, it has Rascal Flatts' songs in it!!!! Honestly, those kind of movies are a lot of fun sometimes. The other day my sixteen year old brother and I were home alone, and we felt like watching a movie, and out of all the thousands of movies we own (ok I am exaggerating), we decided on Finding Nemo. Yes, a 16 yo, and a 22 yo, sitting in the living room laughing our heads off at a kid's movie. I am sure if the general public had seen us we would have been committed to a mental institution...

Looks like a fun camping trip. The great outdoors is so enjoyable! The pictures are great!!!! The ones of your brother were hilarious. By the way, did he ever get to sleep that night? He looked pretty wired!

Later!

BFH

P.S. I get lots of jabs, and I have learned to take them in stride. I love ballet to much to ever give it up, so people will just have to get used to it. That quote is very true. The strength it takes to dance is mind boggling. On a side note, my friends have begun calling me a "Freakishly Large Man". Sigh...It is funny though.

That's awesome that you went shooting. Sounds like a fun time. Sadly, my dad doesn't like camping, so we only go once a year with my extended family, but it's still a good time.
Lol, your brother is adorable! Looks like he enjoyed that cookie!
So, what kind of dance do you do? Just curious!
BTW, don't be embarressed about Tim's blog! I was completely fooled. LOL!

About Me

You really want to know about me? Okay...you asked for it... Here's a short list of the things I love in life: late nights, Hannah's grin, blue jeans, dancing in the rain (or anywhere!), my amazing friends who try to be cool but aren't (and because of that they are), the smell of my dad's work truck, black shirts, handling reptiles, my brother's curly-blonde hair, reading while relaxing on my bed, eating yellow curry with my cousins, going on insanely hard hikes, jamming out to rock music, my mom's voice, snake hunting, crying out to Jesus when I just can't seem to handle it... weird, I know. Welcome to my blog! Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
