Hi Jess!
My self-defense class is one I'm taking for credit here at college. It's a mixture of jujitsu and moves that will come in handy if you try to get kidnapped or something. It's fun! During spring break I took my brother out a few times with my sweet moves!
Let's see . . . advice about college. GO TO A CHRISTIAN COLLEGE!!! Unless you are commuting, then it's probably ok not to. But a good, Christian environment with people who will help grow you in your faith and not challenge it is so important in college. That is when you will be more on your own than you ever were and with a surrounding of believers, it will be so much easier to get any help you may need.
I would also encourage you not to go to an expensive, four-year college if you don't know what you want to major in yet. That way you can go to a community/junior college and get a lot of gen.ed done. I didn't do that because I already had a major (theatre) and so picked a christian college, in Cali, that had my major.
Pray, pray, pray! I still am amazed that I am here right now. God totally brought me here with hardly any help from me. This is where He wanted me, and I am so happy and content to be in the place He chose. Pray you'll make the right choice, that God's Will will be done.
And don't worry if you don't go right after you graduate! I graduated high school, worked and got my Massage Therepy Certification for a year, and THEN God told me to go to school. So I did. The important thing is doing what God wants, even if it makes no sense to us at the moment.
I'll be praying for your desicion, if there is any technical things you want to know, or anything else you have questions on, don't you dare hesitate to ask! Being prepared never hurt anyone.

YES definitely more. Hmmm...well for me, it was all spiritual because I knew God was trying to get something through to me or prepare me for something. I would say that it was more spiritually run than emotionally. Of course there were emotions. But from all the camps I've been at I thought this was really good. but yes, there is more. =)
