May. 19, 2006 - A Real Live Castle!

Oh Myah just loved this!  She especially loved the DollHouse and the honey bees!

Per our mommy educator:

"Cliffe Castle Museum was originally the spectacular mansion of the local Victorian millionaire and textile manufacturer, H I Butterfield. It stands in attractive hillside grounds with greenhouses and garden centre, aviaries. The house is now a large museum with a wide variety of displays. These include an array of glittering minerals, local rocks and fossils (including a 2m long fossil newt!), mounted birds and animals, original furnished rooms with chandeliers, William Morris stained glass, old dolls and a dolls house, toys, musical instruments dating back to the 12 century and a display on clog making and the best exhibit was honey bees in a working glass hive able to fly outside through a special tunnel built into the window."

Well it seems that I have no place complaining about gas prices!  We figured out that in England they're paying about $7 a gallon for gas!  Yikes!

So, witha ll the talk about gas prices, one of the english youngsters would like to see a pic of a Big Rig.  I think we can arrange that -- tomorrow excursion, find some Biiiiig Riiiigs!

May. 12, 2006 - Alice's First Day in Georgia.

Alice paid a visit to Myah's Ballet Studio for her last rehearsal before the big recital!   That's her class mate in the background.

And then we went to the bookstore, where myah showed alice around the "kid section," which she LOVES!

And then she paid the chickens a visit.  They were very skeptical of her at first, but warmed up rather quickly!

May. 4, 2006 - Apple Blossom's Ready!

Well, it appears as though Apple Blossom is ready for her visit! (as is her friend Berry May, who will be going to Chile!) Since Myah is 3 years old, I helped her make all the pieces and she "helped" put it all together. Apple Blossom's first destination will be to go and visit a wonderful little 4 year old girl in the UK (England), named Elise. She will be leaving tomorrow, so everyone say "Goodbye Apple Blossom!" Our new guest  will be Rainbow Princess, from the UK.  Oh, we are very excited!

Apple Blossom is a Pink Apple Blossom Fairy. She takes her Apple Blossoms everywhere she goes. As she was the first flat traveler we created, the process was a bit challenging. But now that we have the hang of it, I think future travelers will be a lot less time consuming.

Below are some pictures of Apple Blossom, her travel journal, passport and the folder she travels in. I must say thank you to Alethea, (Elise's mommy), for giving me such great ideas about how to put it all together. When I started, I had no clue about how to begin! But I think it turned out just fine, take a look:

Keep checking for updates on our travels!
