~This Weekend~
It was a busy one. My dh was in a fishing tournament, but was able to be home by 4:00 both days. They did well and he brought back 8 fish-4 king salmon and 4 brown trout. Here's a pic of 2 of the salmon:

My Dad and his fiance came to visit-they live 5 hours away. That was fun-the kids really enjoyed 4-wheeling with them and showing them all the new things going on here. Hannah showed them the barrel-racing she's been practicing in the pasture and Jonah showed them the skateboarding tricks he's been working on. Susanna was thrilled to have admirers of all her adorable little ways that she has. Here she is sitting on a saddle telling about going trailriding on Bonnie & Retro & Slugger. As usual, she's sporting her "wild pony" look:

I had some frustrating mommy moments yesterday and got to the point of losing my mind. Samson (our old dog) pooped on the floor in the house. Susanna pooped on the floor in the house. Jonah pulled up some of my flowers that he thought were weeds. Susanna knocked over a large picture frame and broke the glass. The flowers were just about to flower and I've moved them twice now. Samson kept laying on them, so I moved them. Piper dug them up there, so I moved them again. They are now replanted and I hope they live. The picture frame was made for me by a friend out of old barn wood. I know I'm raising Kids, not flowers and the glass can be replaced and I'm thankful that noone got cut. But, sometimes...sigh...I wish everyone would just leave my stuff alone...and also go to the bathroom in the appropriate places.
So, I asked Hannah to hold down the fort whie I took a little walk to calm down. I soon felt better-walking and praying always helps me. Here's a couple pics I took on my walk:
Those are in my garden, but I can't remember what they are. I love the whispy, dreamy look of Queen Anne's Lace:

I came back to the house in a much better state of mind and apologized to everyone for yelling. They are so quick to forgive and give me hugs. Picture frames and flowers don't do that.
My dh is taking a range instructor course soon thru his job. He and Jonah have been shooting every weekend. This is one of Jonah's favorite things to do. Pat says he's a really good shot:

I'm glad today's Monday. I'm hoping to have a routine day where I get something done. I've started packing for our camping trip this morning. That will take me the whole week-we're tenting for 9 days. This will be our third year doing this. It's one of our favorite times of the year.

Thanks for stopping by my blog again. You've stopped by now a couple of times, so that constitutes friendship in my book. LOL I added you as a friend. My dad would love the fishing. I can remember going with my dad to the conservation club and shooting at the shooting range. What memories your children will have. Sorry about your frustrating mommy day, but the walk did look lovely. Hope you have a great day today.
Blessings,
Lori

That's some really big salmon! Your going to have really smart kids - salmon is good for the brain! Salmon is also good for the heart/arteriesand the skin. Your not going to have to supplement your diet with Omega 3's vitamin pills!
I hope you don't just hate it when older moms say things like I'm about to.....those really crazy days that make you scream and rant, your really going to miss those days in the future!
I can see why your garden made you happy. It would make me happy, too! So pretty!

Holly,
I thought I was the only mom that had those kind of moments! I'm grateful that you choose such a healthy way to decompress! Sometimes it just kind of all piles up.
I'll be praying for your fun camping trip!

I'm a bit late - but I've had days like that where nothing seems to go right and everyone needs to hear the instructions twice or three times. It is, indeed, frustrating!!
I'm so glad that you got that walk in. I used to lock myself in the bathroom with a book or just to cry when things went like that. I just had a brilliant idea that I should take my mp3 player. *L*
