Find fun facts, unit study ideas, and/or writing topics for every day of the year!
Do you need ideas for unit studies, timely topics to write about, or bulletin board themes? I've added a new section to my website that contains listings of holidays, special days, historic events, famous birthdays, and many other occasions. These can provide lessons in history, geography, culture, the environment, health, science, language, literature, etc. What can you use this month to enhance your learning or just for fun? Simply go to the calendar below and you will be able to find something for each day of the year. Certain dates are hyperlinked to the sponsoring organization, an official website, or to pages with additional information (e.g. the holiday’s origin, traditions, crafts, recipes, activities, projects, books to read, etc).
This blog features news, events, articles, field trips, educational opportunities, legislative updates, website links, and other resources for the Arizona homeschool community. Happy Homeschooling! ~Teri
