History Day in Arkansas Competition
National History Day program is a great project-based learning competition for students in grades 6-12 (there is also a separate 5th grade poster competition). Students choose to work individually or in groups on research papers, exhibits, documentaries, web sites, or performances, which use primary and secondary sources to research and analyze local, state, national or world history. This year's topic is "The Individual in History".
The Arkansas State Competition is April 19, 2009 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. There are district competitions held in February or March of 2009.
If you would like more information, please contact the state coordinator, Patsy Ramsey, at 501-852-2263 or pramsey@uca.edu or click below for district information.
