This summer our family really enjoyed the Summer Splash Reading program. During the program a mascot was created and named, and the name "Splish" was chosen.

So we witnessed the birth of Splish, and now we can also watch him grow up and learn to read! Yes, Gena Suarez of TOS has written a book about Splish, and Kevin Collier has made it one of the cutest books I've ever seen with his brilliant illustrations! Makes me just want to jump in to the book and squeeze the stuffins out of that little froggie!

For $9.95 you can purchase this book, have it autographed by the author if you wish, and even get a really cool activity guide to download from the Schoolhouse store. This would make an awesome Christmas present for all those homeschool kids on your list...both those littles learning to read as well as families with older kids too.
