My entry title makes it sound like we had some big catastrophe today -- but it's literal -- J's homeschool drama club is putting on a production today. It's J's first real play -- he's not nervous, but I am! The play is a game show where a group of panelists have to guess the correct literary character. J plays Panelist #1, a literature professor. He's going to wear a suit, and use a pair of my mom's old glasses, and I'm going to sprinkle baby powder in his hair to make it look gray. I tried drawing a fake moustache on him with eyebrow pencil, but he's not going for that. He looks so grown up with gray hair and glasses.
Four years ago, we were praying that J would talk some day -- he was a very late talker who needed special speech therapy. And now he's an actor in a play! We're so proud of him!
