J's play with his drama club went really well -- all the kids did a great job, including my oh-so-talented little boy.  He said his first line very carefully, and then gave a HUGE sigh of relief which got a laugh from the crowd.  The mom who organizes this club does a great job of encouraging the kids and helping them be confident about their acting.  I'm so proud of him, and he was very pleased too -- he wants to try this acting thing again soon!

My very kind husband gave ME the day off yesterday for President's Day -- I must have had a crazed look in my eye -- the one where I start offering to send the kids to school, any school, anywhere.  So, I got the chance to wander through my favorite stores and get a few new books and some sewing things.  It was a lovely day, and I feel charged up to start another school week.  So -- thanks honey!    You deserve a big gold star today!
