Depending on God...

Hello everyone!

Just writing to update everyone on our last few weeks. We are seriously enjoying Homeownership. However there is a LOT to do with a house. I don't just mean the mowing of the lawn and the cleaning inside. I mean the raking, planting, pressure washing, leaf blowing, tree trimming, caulking, spraying, painting, etc. etc.

That's beside trying to un-pack and settle in. NEVER-THE-LESS it is AWESOME! We feel truly blessed.

Everyday we are now just breathing and taking it all step by step. Just trying to get things done slowly and just trying to be faithful to get things accomplished without getting overwhelmed.

Not just that, but we are also trying to lean on God for wisdom when it comes to financials. We know that God has provided a home for us and that He will provide. But when things are tight it is difficult to know how things are going to pan out. :)

But as we depend on The Lord more we realize that it doesn't matter how it will happen. That we don't really have to know or care. He will take care of it. So my new prayer in the morning is Lord I pray I may not worry.

Of course I added to the work by making more planting possible, LOL.

This Saturday morning we are getting a roof fixed at 7am. No sleeping in, rats! But at least there will be nore more dodging drips.

Hi Lyssie,

I can think of no other way of getting a hold of you. I have called you several times this week and left messages on Jesse's cell phone but have not heard back from you :( I hope you can find some free time to talk, I could really use a friend to talk to once in awhile. I know that I have confided in you by letting you know that you are one of the few people that for some reason I felt open enough to open up to (if that makes any sense)... but I feel hurt that so many of the people that I thought were friends have almost blocked me out of their lives. I know life gets busy... mine is very busy too... but never too busy to make time for a friend. I hope you don't take this the wrong way... but just realize that I would just like to talk to you once in awhile. I know I cannot force friendships... but I didn't think that I had to in the Lord. If this is coming out the wrong way... forgive me. I'm just beginning to question many things... friendships being one of them.

I'm not a homeschooler....Yet! My husband and I have actually been diagnosed as unable have natural children. So I feel like in life, I am just waiting. Waiting to have the children to teach things to, or waiting for the joy of home-schooling, or waiting for an answer on something, or a house, or waiting to learn some new thing God wants to teach us. Either way you look at it, we feel that we are just usually 'waiting'. In the mean time, we just keep our hearts open and our eyes peeled. In due time, we will know and understand.
