Jul. 29, 2006 - What a sweet post!

I loved the quote by Mark Twain :-) Thanks for visiting my blog today. I always try to be open and honest about who I am and how I'm doing. One thing I love about homeschooling is I can change our focus as needed to suit the children. It's all about them!

My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it. I hope my kids will be able to reflect back on their life and say that their mother enjoyed them.

I would like to add you to my list of friends too. Hope that's fine. I've been reading your site for awhile and am amazed at how, as a new homeschooler, you've made such strides in how you want to direct your homeschool. Way to go.

Jul. 31, 2006 - Another book...

Posted by Mamma1420
You will probably have to buy it b/c it's just been republished, but John S.C. Abbott's The Mother at Home is an oldie but a goodie. I mean oldie..it's from the 1800s about "Raising Your Children in the Fear of the Lord" is it's subtitle. I just got a copy of it and haven't read it yet. I'll let you know.

We had our first hard day today. I can't even post about it, I cried privately twice. I hope this period of adjustment will end quickly...

friends4tea and timbuck2mom, it would be an honor to be added to your friends list.
Mamma1420 - I have wanted to read that book. I will have to get it. I already ordered the one by Reb Bradley that you wrote about on your blog. I can't wait to read it. Sorry you had a hard day.
