Here is a picture I took from our copy of James Herriot's Treasury for children. Isn't it beautiful?! I know that many of you have this book....if you don't, you should! It is wonderful. The stories are engaging and the illustrations are gorgeous. I love reading it to my daughter. It is illustrated by Ruth Brown and Peter Barrett. They have done a magnificent job. I can't say enough about how beautiful their artwork is to look at. Stunning!

My 5 year old is already a budding vet. She brings me either the real dogs or stuffed animals to "treat their ailments"!

We LOVE LOVE this book, I thought it was one ot the most beautiful books we had ever read. I loved the illustrations, wow! I'm so glad your enjoying it. You are more then welcom to link to my post about effective parenting, I tell everyone I know about it because it has been so great for us, You have to tell me how the CDS work out, I would love to hear another opinion about them.

I didn't know James Herriot had this book! Oh how I wish I would have found it when my guys were younger...well, that's ok...we may read it anyway! :-) Right now during our family reading time we are reading his book, "All Creatures Great And Small". It is so funny!!
