Nov. 8, 2006 - Kid Quote

Posted in SugarBean and Little Mister Quotes

Yesterday my kids cried and whined ALL day.  I don't know what was going on.  It was absolutely ridiculous!

At one point I said, "Your crying is driving me crazy!" (As soon as it came out of my mouth I wished I had not said it)

My daughter replied (in a very serious and sincere voice), "I'd like to see that.  I'd like to see you go crazy.  Do it if you want to."

Thanks a lot!!

I mean, it really is our choice whether or not they drive us nuts. I had a day like yours this week - see "my attitude stinks" on my blog. Really, it had nothing to do with the kids. It's that I chose to let them get to me.

Silly of us, isn't it?
I hope your Wednesday is much better than your Tuesday was.

Good to be back online. I read your last few blogs and agree with all that you've said. It's hard for us as mothers sometimes even when we have the best intentions because there are only so many Wiggles or Thomas the Tank Engine books we can read without "going crazy" as you said. I guess it's a matter of finding the perfect balance between quality time with our kids and time out for ourselves.
Comments like this one of your daughter's help us keep our senses of humour. It made me laugh. Maybe God made them funny to help us through those days.
Hope you have a good week this week,
Paula

I live for these moments now. I just write them down and save them for my comic strip! (That'll teach 'em!)
Seriously, there must be something in the air lately, because my 4 y.o. has been a force to be reckoned with. The way her mood swings, I'm certain she has PMS!
Here's hoping for a better tomorrow!
