I can tell. My mother saved my artwork from that age and I've seen my own daughter's work from that age (she's 13 now and I'm sure she's a better artist than I am).
Don't worry about her using color. I was that kind of artist and ended up specializing in pen and ink. When I want color I use watercolors because they're fast and don't detract from the ink lines. She reminds me of my style--I would draw quickly to get the ideas out of my head and keep moving to the next thing. Once it's on the paper we're pretty much done and need to learn to return to the work to color. My cartooning teacher in high school was constantly bugging me to add color. It really took a lot to motivate me to go back to a piece once I finished inking it in. My mind kept going to the next work.
She has a wonderful sense of movement. Since she likes drawing people, slowly help her recognize the little details of the body, things like fingers, thumbs, toes, ears, etc.
