Hello All! We are home.
My husband directs a small Bible camp for 9-11 year olds. The kids and I tagged along and enjoyed the outdoors for a week. It was great. I took pictures but was not able to capture the beauty of the area. We had huge mountains on either side of us. The weather was always a surprise because we couldn’t see the clouds until they appeared over the mountain top.
My husband did a great job. His theme was Bible Boot Camp. The main idea was to teach the kids some Bible basics. Some of the children don’t go to church so it was all new to them. Many really soaked it up. A number of them memorized the books of the Bible and some Bible verses. We also showed them that christians know how to have fun!!
My own children played in the dirt most of the time. They made lots of friends, joined in the signing and played hard! My son, who is two, thought he was one of the campers. Whenever the kids were called for the next activity he would run along with them. He joined in the morning exercises and exclaimed with almost every exercise, "Im doing it!" The campers enjoyed him and I think he was really the camp mascot! Every time he turned around a little girl would be saying, "Hi. Can I have a hug?" He obliged at first but soon tired of it and would tell them, "I don’t want to".
Here are a few pictures:

This little bird decided to visit our cabin just as my son began to take a nap:

We are still finishing the after camp laundry marathon so I'll sign off for now.
