Hi Stacy!
Your mother did a wonderful job on your dishes! They look professionally cast and decorated - what a talent, and she blessed you with the fruits of it (pun unintended)!
I love, Love, *LOVE* the desk! What a treasure to have such family history in a piece, and to be able to pass it down to your daughter. Treasure it always!
Have a lovely weekend, and thanks for sharing!
God Bless,
Shani |

Oh, she MADE the bowl? That's beautiful. And I smiled at the old-fashioned desk. It's hard to imagine how many little people have sat and dipped their pens in the ink wells, when the table was new and shiny. *sigh*
You can probably think of a fun story about a little girl who once used it, and have you DD write a story about it for writing class for an assignment. LOL |

I love the dishes!!! They are beautiful!!! I hope you use them!!!
I also love the desk! I'm a little bit of an antique geek so this is beautiful to me!!! I think it's great that your daughter is using it!!! I'm glad you're not letting it just sit!!!
Thanks for sharing,

That is really neat! I'd be afraid to use the dish, though. It's not like you can run out to Target and get a new one if it breaks! :)

Thanks for all the lovely comments!
I forgot to mention that my mother-in-law always tells me to pass the dishes along to someone else if I don't like them or get sick of them! Can you believe that?! I have not passed a dish or bowl along yet - I love them all!
And we do use them every day. They are so nice.

Your mom did a great job and they do seem to fit you and your style. I love the ink well in the desk. Mostly, it seems liek it has been forever since I have been by your blog. It looks great! And it is just fun to come by and say hi again.

How nice that she could make those for you. Makes them extra special. They're beautiful. And I really love that desk! I think about my grandma, and I think even my mom, using inkwells. Now I'll have to ask her.....I know she used fountain pens, but she may have used those, too...
hm.

I love those dishes, too, especially since they're handmade. What an artistic mother-in-law you have. Does she still have that mural in her garage for Thanksgiving? That was incredible.
