I have been working on a new look for my blog...I want to make it more Australian. Thinking about Australia so much is causing me to miss it even more! I I would like to share some pictures from our last trip downunder....we got to see a baby kangaroo (Joey) at Featherdale Wildlife Park

How the Kangaroo got it's name:
I just read at http://www.abc-kid.com/kangaroo/ that when European explorers asked a Native Australian (Aborigine) what the large hopping animals were called, he replied, "Kangaroo" - which means, "I don't understand your question". The Europeans didn't know this - they just thought that was the animal's name! How funny - I did not know that!
