Nov. 12, 2007 - Goldy

This is a picture I made today.

This is a picture of my fish named Goldy. She has passed away but that is why I drew this picture. She was a goldfish. My parents got her on my birthday. She was a very good goldfish. It makes me cry to think that she is dead.

When we were moving to Europe, we had to give her to a friend. There, she died.

My picture is made on cotton cloth.

Hi Grammie,

I am going to answer your question here. I have 35-45 ladybugs

Nov. 3, 2007 - My Ladybug House

I have a ladybug house.

I have food source and water source. Water source is a damp paper towel that I wet every day. Food source is RAISINS! You have to make them in a certain way. First, you soak the raisins. Second, you blot the raisins dry. Third, you cut them in half. Finally, you spread them all over the ladybug house.

I sometimes get to see them eat and drink. It's very fun.

Oct. 20, 2007 - My Bug Hotel (And Caterpillar)

I'll start out by telling you about my plans on a bug hotel. First, I'm going to take a couple of hermit crab cages and stick them together. I might even put cardboard in between them, to make more rooms. I am also planning to have 42 rooms in all, including the cardboard. So, I can put 42 bugs in the rooms. That will be fun!

Now, lets get to my caterpillar. Her name is Rosanna. She is a good caterpillar. She is a woolybear caterpillar.

This is a picture of her when she is just chillin out.

This is a picture of her scared. She curls up in a ball when she's scared.

This is a picture that shows what she will look when she is a moth.Isabella Tiger Moth

On my next post, I will tell how Rosanna will turn into a moth.

Oct. 14, 2007 - Making Play Dough

From Sprite's Blog I got the idea to make play dough. Thank you Sprite.

Here are the ingredients.

Here I am measuring flour. I got flour all over the counter.

I am mixing the dough now. You have to heat it up. My mom asked me to make a regular face but I decided to make a cute face.

This is when it starts to get really thick. I had to puff out my cheeks to mix it though it doesn't look thick.

When the play dough was done we put food coloring in it. We made greyish purple, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and I kept one plain. And I couldn't decide what to make but my mom tried to help me but that didn't quite work. So I finally came up with fall leaves. I like the red one best.

I had made a slug before and I decided to make another one because I thought it was cool. Plus I put on the red eyes so you could see them better.

I decided to make cookies. As you can see here I took some play dough and stuck them in a mini muffin tin. And here's a question, What are the sprinkles? Well I'll tell you, they're beads. It took a very long time to get the beads out afterwards. And by the time I was done I had wished I hadn't done it at all.

Well that's it for today. I will make some more things out of the play dough and I will put it on this blog.
