Oh, neat!! Our pasteurizer is made by the same company and it looks similar, but a newer model.
Yes, that hose is for what you guessed. We have to take the faucet off pull hose to our sink to insert it into the white rubber part, then stick the other end down b/w the canister and the pasteurizer to run cold water to cool the milk.
Did it come with an instruction manual?
Congratulations on your find!!! Holly

Hi Rosita!
Can't wait for you to get your milk cow so that you can try the pasturizer out and blog about it.

Google it! write the manufacturer tell them the model # they may even have a manual online. If not they may send it to you. Also ask them i something is missing they may have the missing part.
And if all that fails, buy the new one!
Great post. SoCalVal also has a freebie on her S&T
Very great guys!

Gotta love those freebies. At our price of milk @4.69 a gal. I told DH, well make off better with a cow. We buy 4 to 5 gallon's of milk a week. No lacking the A or D group here.
Great Show & Tell,
Debbie

Now all you need is a cream separater to go with it! We bought one off e-bay about a year ago for our future goats (since you can't separate their cream out by letting it sit). But that thing is harder to put together than your pasteurizer! It is a hand-crank MONSTER with a million little pieces. We lent it to our son and family because they had goats, but alas! They moved over here and the separater is still over in Pullman. Oh, well. My husband said, "Oh, well. I think I"m going to buy an electric one. None of this handcrank stuff for me."
