Our Homeschool Agenda ~ HM Assignment #2
Posted in Homeschool Memoirs

This week’s theme is about sharing your 2008-09 homeschool agendas and plans. Share the different curriculum you’re using. You can also include what age/grade you’re using it for, how long you’ve been using it, and why you like it.
We have been using Sonlight since the very beginning starting with Pre K and I love it. It's strongly literature based, learning through living books and I guess you would say a classical education and the best part is that there are instructor guides for everything!! That is a very important thing for me because if I had to design all of our learning myself, we'd probably still be in the planning phase. LOL. They lay all of the subjects out in weekly chunks telling you what books to use, what pages to read, what questions to work on and so on, but that doesn't mean that we stick strictly to the schedule. I find that it actually helps me to be more creative since I always have something constant to fall back to after we take our many side trips to different learning adventures :) This year I have added much more Canadian content though because Sonlight is severely lacking in that department and we are adding in Apologia as well because it is just so darn fun to read. *grin*
So here's our plan so far. I may add more as we go along but this is the backbone of it :)
