I Am One Very Unhappy UPS Customer
Unhappy is putting it mildly.... very mildly.
I found out about this really great place in the US to get prints done up really quickly and made into postcards, business cards, cards and more. Pretty much anything you want and the price is super reasonable, plus they ship the very next day. You can't beat that around here and so I had some stuff done up for my mom's bed and breakfast.... that was 2 months ago :(
The printing company is fast. They make the stuff, send it out the door and then UPS calls (insert the very dark and ominous music here) letting you know that they have your parcel and the would be happy to take care of the Canadian side of the shipping. So the first parcel is cleared at the border, broker fees paid for and then sent on to their secret independent contractor that they hire to deliver my package. Well a week goes by, no package. Another week goes by, still no package and apparently it is missing. Missing?? Oh how can this be!
Fast forward 2 months to today. First package still missing, claim is on hold for lets say... FOREVER, and the 2nd replacement package has now currently been traveling for 3 weeks and still not arrived. I'm loosing hope that I will ever see my cards, or my money taken to pay for invisible packages that never arrive. Oh and did I mention that apparently they have no sympathy for their receiving customers. Nope, just to the shipper, they're prime priority and it seems that even my claim is top secret and I'm not allowed any information on how to resolve it :(
*sigh* Okay, I promise never to whine about this again *grin*.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with UPS. I'm not a fan of them myself. Their US brokerage fees are ridculous. I avoid UPS as much as I can. I much prefer the good old postal system!
I hope you get this resolved soon!

Ah, I understand. UPS is so expensive. Fortunately, our neighborhood UPS delivery man is young and a real cutie - so having him stop by and drop off package by package within 2 weeks (that should of been delivered all at once) is alright with me. It's just a bummer they don't have a better system for delivery. I'm still waiting for school books!!!

~About Me~
Hello from Canada! I am a homeschooling mom to 3 very rambunctious children ages 10, 6 & 3 years old while holding down the fort as tug boat captain 'Dad' sails the seven seas *grin*. We're located on 40 acres in a tiny rural community in beautiful British Columbia and this is my quirky journal about our homeschool journey, running my home based business 'RosyUndPosy' making 'Eco Friendly Bags 4 Green Living', and everyday life home on the farm. Hope you enjoy your visit :)

Want to have a peak at what the weather looks like here today? Here's a cam showing the lovely scenic view looking east down Johnstone Strait past Helmcken & Hardwicke Islands.
