Upcoming Events:

Father and Son Camp-out
When: Saturday June 3rd and Sunday June 4th
Where: BIG Creek Campground in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park (near Newport, TN)
Departure time 9:00 a.m.
Location to meet: Food Lion on 321 by the Sonic
Cost: $10.00 per family 

Eat a hearty breakfast before departing and bring your own lunch. We’ll provide dinner and breakfast before breaking camp and enjoying a fun outdoor adventure. We will be working on our Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award while on the camp-out. Check out the requirements for this new award here.

Summer fun Each month of the summer, we’ll have at least one fun activity for the Cub Scouts. Watch the BHEA weekly email or contact your Den Leader for details!

Day Camp (boys entering 1st through 5th grade)

Webelos Resident Camp
Date: July 20-23 or July 27-30
Time: 4:30 – 8:30
Where: Camp Buck Toms

(Great news! Our pack will pay $20 for boys attending Resident Camp and $10 for boys attending Day Camp).

Family Camp
There are two events in which boys and their families can enjoy a weekend of camping at Camp Buck Toms. Enjoy all the fun camp activities plus swimming and canoeing in August. If we get enough Pack interest, we can pick a weekend and all go. Let your Den Leader know if interested!

About BHEA

BHEA is an association of independent homeschooling families that formed in the late 1980s to encourage successful home education in Blount County. The organization, which operates with the help of many parent volunteers, provides support, information and encouragement to over 200 homeschooling families. BHEA sponsors many activities throughout the year to enhance the educational program that each participating family provides at home.
