• Jun. 18, 2006 - Webelo Scout Summer Activities

We will continue to have activities through the summer so the boys can maintain relationships with their fellow Cubs and also do some fun outdoor activities. As has been mentioned, we will divide the activities up for June and July (Older cubs vs younger cubs) so the boys can participated in activities suited to their abilities.
That said, here are the details for the Hike for next week for Webelos and any strong-hearted, interested Bears. Information on the activity for the younger boys is to follow!

* Hike to Andrew's Bald Saturday June 24
Details: Meet at Food Lion at Lamar Alexander before 7:30 (we will depart promptly at 7:30)
Hike location: Clingman's Dome to Andrew's Bald
What to bring: lunch, plenty of water, a trail snack, sunscreen, good walking shoes (please leave your open shoes Crocs, Tevas, etc at home!)
We'll hike to the Bald, have lunch, take pictures and perhaps work on the Leave No Trace badge. AT trail hiker Bert Emmerson will be with us along the trail and according to Bert and with good luck, we'll catch the wild flowers and azaelas in bloom! Estimated time of return 2:30.

* Other upcoming activities: Craftsman badge, wood working, Bike Cades Cove, Maryville College woods adventure, Outdoor fun and more!

* Joining Cub Scouts: Pack 442 is open to all BHEA boys in grades 1-5. Boys can start in any grade; they do not have to begin with Tiger Cubs in 1st grade! Please contact Tim for information on registering.
